Everyone loves Lisa Vanderpump’s teacup Pomeranian, Giggy aka Gigolo on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. You rarely see Lisa without Giggy in her arms. Giggy is always dressed to perfection, and as Lisa has explained in the past, she dresses him in clothes not only for looks but because Giggy was lost his fur. Not only does Giggy have his own Twitter account, but now he has his own blog, and it explains what caused his hair loss.
“Disaster struck, my beautiful fur start to fall out in clumps, my soft baby coat was leaving me,” Giggy’s blog reveals. ”My owner, Lisa was constantly reassured that this was the puppy uglies that crosses the path of so many Pomeranians, she knew differently… We have tracked down many doggy doctors and alas to no avail… We have found no cure.”
Alopecia is the medical term for baldness, and it affects both humans and animals. With dogs, it’s more common with certain breeds, such as poodles and Pomeranians. It can be hereditary or acquired from something like a food allergy or flea bite.
So for those who wonder why Giggy has so many outfits, it’s because he’s bald underneath his clothes!
