Teresa Giudice: Why I Stayed On RHONJ

Many viewers were surprised when Teresa Giudice returned to season 6 of The Real Housewives of New Jersey after her famous legal troubles. But in a new interview, Teresa reveals she had absolutely no reservations about returning to the reality show that made her famous.

“Now I’m in it and I don’t want to stop,” Teresa tells People. “This is my job and I want to keep going.”

The Giudice family has had an extremely rough year. Joe Giudice’s father Frank recently passed away and Teresa and Joe’s sentencing has been delayed until September.

“We are mourning, and it’s just been devastating,” she says. “I feel bad for my husband and I’m just trying to be there for him and my kids. He was so close to us, and it happened at our house, so it’s just a lot to handle.”

Teresa’s friend Dina Manzo told the mag that even if Teresa wanted to walk away from the show, it wouldn’t be easy. “She would be in it no matter what,” Dina adds. “It’s like me. I left but I was always part of it, so whether you are there or not, you are going to be talked about and scrutinized.”

As Teresa awaits her fate she reveals she is focused on family.

“Waking up every morning looking at my beautiful daughters, I am always grateful,” she says. “That’s what keeps me going and gives me my strength. I have a wonderful husband and that’s why I am the rock that I am.”

My name is Nicki. I am 32 years-old and married to my best friend. I was previously in business for over 12 years, but I’ve always had a great passion for web and graphic design. Another one of my passions, of course, is to escape into the world of TV, which is where this journey began. My goal in starting AllThingsRH.com was to give fans, like myself, a place to catch up on all the latest news and gossip about The Real Housewives. I wanted to create a place where viewers could interact with each other, share their opinions, and get straight-forward and unbiased information about what’s going on. I am proud of the diversity this site has to offer.
