Star Magazine recently came out with a two-page spread called, ‘Real Housewives Bikini Blowout!’ The magazine featured many of The Housewives in their bikinis, and were very critical of their appearance. Some of the stars they were making fun of? Tamra Barney, Ramona Singer, Teresa Giudice, Kim Zolciak, NeNe Leakes, Taylor Armstrong, and Kelly Bensimon. Here’s what Star Magazine said about the pictures…
Kim Zolciak: ‘It must be comforting to pro football player Kroy Biermann to know that if his team, the Atlanta Falcons, is ever short an offensive lineman, his brawny wife, Kim, could step in.’
NeNe Leakes: ‘She’s on a roll — make that rolls. NeNe has turned her reality TV stardom into gigs on network series Glee and The New Normal, but she may already be overexposed!’
Kelly Bensimon: ‘One of the model-turned-author’s four books is I Can Make You Hot. But can someone please make Kelly stop pumping iron and start chomping cookies!’
Tamra Barney: ‘“Housewives come younger, but they don’t come hotter,” Tamra said after joining the Orange County crew. Confidence is definitely sexy — but a dimpled tush and thighs? Not so much.’
Tamra Barney is the only Housewife that has responded to the magazine. She posted on her Facebook page, “@star_news you are the reason woman feel horrible about themselves, low self esteem and have eating disorders. your recent article is juvenile and you make me sick! To take a three year old unflattering picture and post it in your current issue makes you look stupid (do your homework)! To make fun of the way a woman looks…… just makes you an assh0le! Ladies always remember……. STRONG is the new SKINNY!”
And Tamra proves the magazine right in the photo at the top of the page. She is currently very fit, and has an awesome body. As do the rest of The Real Housewives. Disgusting to go after someone’s appearance, in my opinion.

All I can say is, Star Magazine must be very desperate for a story or a magazine sale if this is the sort of TRASH they print!! We all saw those pics years ago, how dense do they think their readers are??????
I am disgusted by Star Magazine, and I will never purchase another issue!!! Tamra is totally right about how women already have enough pressure on our bodies and how they look, and they are taking skinny women and calling them fat, I think all women should no longer purchase the magazine again!!!!!!!!!!
