After a lot of speculation about Season 6 of The Real Housewives of New York, Bravo has confirmed the women will begin filming later this month. But which ladies are going to be in the cast? Only three of the RHONY women attended the Bravo Upfronts in NYC last night. Ramona Singer, Heather Thomson, and Carole Radziwill were all at the presentation representing the show. LuAnn de Lesseps, Sonja Morgan, and Aviva Drescher were noticeably absent.
The NY Daily News reports that Ramona, Heather, and Carole will all be back for Season 6. Apparently, LuAnn, Sonja, and Aviva are still negotiating with Bravo, and an insider says the network could be holding back because, “They may want to round out the cast with fresh meat.”
However, Naughty But Nice Rob reports that only Carole’s spot on the show is safe, and judging by Carole, Ramona, and Heather’s appearance at last night’s event they will begin filming shortly. A rep for LuAnn tells Rob, “It’s cruel to invite the entire family to a party and deliberately leave out a few. What makes it even more upsetting is Bravo has invited Carole Radziwill. Plus Sonja Morgan will film the Bravo summer commercial, but the rest of the New York cast have been excluded.” Sources later confirmed that Sonja has NOT been asked to film any Bravo commercials anytime soon. LuAnn’s friend continues, “It is so upsetting to have worked for a company for many years and to be told nothing. They didn’t have the decency to pick up a phone and say you are getting fired. We are all keeping our schedules open in case we still have our jobs but it’s time we were told the truth and allowed to move on with our lives. Although, it does hurt to know we have not been invited to the party.”
