RHONY: Did Jules Put Prescription Drugs in the Pizza?

On this week’s episode of the Real Housewives of New York City, Bethenny Frankel, Dorinda Medley, Carole Radziwill and Ramona Singer met Jules Wainstein for a cooking class. The ladies basically put toppings on pizza, but things got awkward when Jules joked about putting pills on her pizza. We found out Jules takes Adderall regularly, but had also been recently prescribed Percocet and Lidocaine for an injury.

Jules was seated next to Carole and told her all about how she sees a therapist twice a week, but that they have nothing to talk about anymore because she no longer has an eating disorder. She even shared that she now weighs 115lbs.

When the calzone was ready, Jules revealed she had prepared it and told the ladies to dig in. “Unless I took LSD, there was a fork, a knife and a stainless steel cup inside the calzone,” Bethenny explained. Jules thought it was a hilarious joke, but the other ladies just thought it was weird.

Next, Dorinda stopped by Jules’ place to catch up and Wainstein confided in her friend about her martial problems. Jules told Dorinda that she once called Michael “100 times,” but he wasn’t answering his phone. She then revealed that Michael took nearly six hours to show up at the hospital, which Dorinda said was inexcusable.

“You’re not feeling valued,” Dorinda advised, prompting Jules to add that when she’d returned home from the hospital, she got to work making dinner for the kids, prepping lunches and cleaning up, and just as she was about to sit down to dinner, Michael asked her if she was going to give the kids a bath (because he didn’t know how). Dorinda tried to console Jules by explaining that men think women are “superhuman” and can do it all, but confessed to the camera that she felt Jules’ “loneliness.”

“I wish Michael would step up to the plate a little bit. It would be nice if I had a partner,” Jules told the cameras.

Meanwhile, Bethenny’s impending surgery to remove her fibroids had her very emotional. The doctor told her she would be in the hospital for three full days and her recovery would be six weeks. She also was asked if she had a living will, which really freaked her out.

“I don’t want to be dealing with this right now,” she said, adding how she didn’t know what happen to her daughter Bryn if something went wrong in surgery. “I don’t want to be thinking about this.”

While at a gathering with some of the women, Ramona pulled LuAnn aside and encouraged her to make up with Bethenny and Carole, but LuAnn said she didn’t care and that she was more focused on getting engaged and being in love.

“I love you, but I’m done,” Lu said before storming off and then declaring that Carole would not be invited to her wedding. “Sonja is invited,” Luann added. “To hell with the rest of those bitches!”

  1. I told you she took speed. And the absolute best speed is Ritalin and Adderall. And all doctor approved and everything! I knew she was on speed, very few people are naturally hyped up like her. It is a shame her husband is a pig, though. It seems not even he cares about her well being, or the kids. OINK, PIG.

    1. You called it, sister. I feel badly for this girl too and what she must be going thru. She’s so sweet plus she’s one of the most beautiful women I have ever seen. She is so stunning. She has one of those placid faces that calms you just looking at her.

      1. That’s so true miss money- she does have a beautiful & calming face. I never thought of it that way. I like her a lot. She’s so sweet

  2. Hated how Bitcany and Carol are so mean towards Jules. But I don’t want to see another emotionally sick person person in denial with her eating disorder who is clearly not clean.

  3. So sick of Carole and her sidebreath, bitchy, high school comments. She can’t even own it and say it to the person’s face, except Luann and that was because she was coming behind Bethanny. It’s been a few times now where she does that immature thing, of making fun of someone to their face about something, when the person doesn’t know they are being made fun of by her. Example was when they were in the Berkshires and Jules brought gifts and Carole said to her, “Oh how Asian of you”. I hate that passive aggressive crap, it’s so immature. I can say one nice thing about Carole though, and that is an appreciation of her love of animals and bringing something awful like puppy mills to light.

  4. Carole is living her life like she’s in her 20’s again because of her boy toy, I mean, boyfriend. The remarks, the way she dresses, the things she says, it makes me cringe. Even how she writes her blogs now. They used to be so funny, now they are awkward and immature. I guess she’s not writing another book, but a cookbook, please. From someone who renovated their kitchen into an office. Woman, act your age. It’s perfectly okay to be in your 50’s.

I feel for Jules and Sonja. Both lost souls with kind hearts. The rest of them….no thanks.

    1. What The, I don’t really see it that way. I think maybe B & Carole are the lost souls. They’re fixated on Jules eating but look at them. Same size as her. Plus B has a brand dedicated to skinny people being skinny when they drink, or are on the go- any time & with convenience! It’s her “BRAND” brand brand brand brand brand all she drives on about. I mean how clueless of her to attack a skinny person. But, jules at least, admits her shortcomings & chooses to be accountable & allows herself to be judged in order to live authentically. A lost soul wouldn’t have the ability to do that. I think she’s perfectly on her path. B & C should take a lesson from her on inner beauty. They’re just in the rat race justifying their foul behavior in the name of ratings.

  5. Who in their right mind prescribes Adderal to someone who looks like her…so clearly underweight. Also, why does she need Percocet. Isn’t the local anesthetic enough with maybe some OTC pain medication for her vajayjay black and blue region. She is taking more meds than she should, and she talks really fast and has a problem with food from all that I have seen, anyway. Why did she not have dinner with her children? Was she making hot dogs for them and saving dinner for her and her husband for later? That is just my comment, only since I think more families should eat dinner together if possible. Michael was wrong about bathing the children at that moment…but how late was it?
Clearly, she has some psychological issues as well as a husband who just does not care, and now the marriage is ending…no surprises there from what little they have shown. When he said that her having a business of her own without telling him was like his wife cheating on him…I was thinking…that is projection. He is the cheater calling her one. He was inappropriate more than once. He wanted a pretty wife as arm candy maybe and nothing more. Jules needs someone to spend time with her and care for her. She needs attention, and even with the nanny and housekeeper, she seems frazzled to be parenting alone. It seems to me she was raised quite priveleged as was her husband, and she is struggling with parenting and being alone too much and is not equipped to single parent. I guess marriage counseling is out of the question at this phase, but did they ever see a counselor?

  6. The whole eating disorder thing is so tragic, my best friend died about two years ago from complications due to it. She went back and forth with having anorexia and bulimia for years, starting when we were about fifteen, then passed away in her early forties. Over the years she had pancreatitis many times, both hips and knees replaced, etc. It is so sad. And never discussed it…it is hard for them to admit things and usually many secrets are involved…I hope she gets all the help she needs and isn’t in denial – I thought the stuff inside the calzone was really out there…but she seems really sweet. I just hope the girls talk to her about their concerns and not just about her to others. She is beautiful.

    1. I’m so sorry to hear about your friend, Mousie. That’s so sad. There is definitely a lot of denial around eating disorders.

  7. I don’t know, but her husband is a PIG, and she needs help, and not from a “writing doctor.” Dorinda’s blouse in talking head at 26 minutes, I LOVE. But, then, I love Dorinda. Jules is fortunately getting divorced from said PIG, who left her in the E.R. for 6 hours after not picking up the 100 911 calls. Effing ASSHOLE. Total punk, douche, cheating PIG. No woman needs a husband like him. She was given two beautiful children from him, so at least he gave her something with more value than ANYTHING ELSE IN THE WORLD. Time to kick his effing ass out into the dark cave he belongs in with the other snakes and slugs.

    1. I could be wrong. But my gut says that when she moves on to a nice guy who deserves her, she won’t need to control everything anymore. (Since eating disorders are really about control) I feel like after she feels safe with the nice guy she’ll be able to loosen the reigns a bit. She has the desire to be well. That’s most important. I’ll be praying for her.
