According to RadarOnline, there was an emergency meeting between the cast of RHONY and the Bravo producers this weekend.

Production was shut down sometime last week because the production company has only shot 2 or 3 weeks worth of footage, because the ladies are dull.

Sonja Morgan quit drinking. Bethenny Frankel has been told that nobody wants to see her pushing Skinnygirl anymore, so her storyline became about starting an even more boring charity.

Carole Radziwill is still refusing to give any details about the Kennedy’s which is the family she married into. The most interesting story, according to the producers is LuAnn De Lesseps, who didn’t even allow the cameras at her wedding and she only invited Dorinda Medley.

The meeting was about the producers telling the cast to turn up the drama or else nobody will be watching.

11 Replies to “RHONY Cancelled?”

  1. Sorry but it’s time these shows are cancelled. Required to produce drama means staged and scripted and we are tired of that. Plus how can anyone constantly handle the stress Bravo puts on these women to produce DRAMA.

    1. I don’t want to see the shows cancelled as there are still a few characters i enjoy, but I absolutely agree about manufacturing drama. When it’s forced it always becomes too toxic to watch and in real time peoples lives are ruined.

    1. This. Or when just normal, relatable phases of life that we all go through are captured and then you end up with touching, poignant, or teachable moments.

  2. I doubt the show is cancelled, they were a ratings hit last year, and they’re only in the beginning of filming. The examples listed in the post ring false as well. Sonja was sober in her first season and a fan favorite. Bethenny/Jim Beam is a paying client for the Bravo network to to advertise her drinks outside of what she’s allowed to hawk as part of her cast contract, and I don’t see any network turning ad revenue down, and as a personal friend of Andy’s before she joined the cast, Carole has always made it known that she was not going to divulge information about her husband’s family. Also, how would the Bravo’s parent company NBC Universal explain this sudden cancellation to other their media buying clients who financially committed to advance advertising sales bundles over this past summer?

Beyond that, when are people going to learn that Bravo and its executive producers are not responsible for producing content on these shows? Content is created and produced by a third party, then finished episodes are turned over to Andy as executive producer & the network. Film is chopped and screwed and switched around to be aired out of order before that: production and the cast haven’t even been filming long enough to develop a central storyline and conflict in the group. Pffft.

  3. They need a cast shake up, Ramona ins’t crazy anymore, Sonja is boring and unstable, Carole is super boring, Dorinda is only a sh*t stirrer. So I’d keep Bethenny and LuAnn and hire four or five new women!!!

  4. Bravo needs a Hamptons show with people over 30. Like NYC, but showing the Hamptons lifestyle. This Summer House is too blah, with youngsters.

    1. That’s so funny you mention this because though I’ve seen the advertisement, I haven’t even given a thought to looking at Summer House. I’m not interested in watching a bunch of young kids go crazy in a summer AirBnB. I have nieces and nephews that are probably their ages, and whom I would KILL for taking part in the kinds of hijinks you see on these “Young Drunken Fool” shows.
