Real Housewives of Miami star Lisa Hochstein’s husband Leonard has been slapped with a whistleblower lawsuit brought this week in a Miami court by two former staffers and Gossip Extra has the details.
They are accusing Hochstein of selling free samples of Botox to maximize his income.
Former physician’s assistant Graciela Chevez and office manager Francine Rodriguez claim they were fired after questioning Hochstein’s use of free sample of the anti-wrinkle injection on paying customers.
According to the lawsuit, doctors receive free samples from the muscle-paralyzing substance but are not supposed to sell them. Nationally, the average price of a Botox injection is $328.
Hochstein insists the two employees were fired for not performing their duties well.
“They just concocted this cockamamie story to get me to settle,†he said. “Neither were good employees. They’re hoping to make some money off of me so they looked for something before they left.â€
“I sell a lot of Botox, but I give out a lot of free samples,” he added.
Chad Levy, the women’s lawyer, responded to Hochstein’s allegations that his clients weren’t good employees by providing an email allegedly from Hochstein to Rodriguez:
I will check into everything. I want you to know that I think you have been a terrific employee and am happy to write you a great recommendation letter and if there is anything else I can do to help just let me know.
