Prosecutors Demand Bravo Hand Over Hours Of Unedited RHONJ Footage For Giudice Trial

Now Bravo is being dragged into the Giudices legal drama. The NY Daily News reports prosecutors have asked Bravo to hand over hours of unaired footage from The Real Housewives of New Jersey. “For every hour that airs, there are more than 20 hours of unedited footage,” the source tells the site. “They shoot for three months and end up using only the footage that fits into the story line they want to focus on.”

According to the source, most of the unused footage from the hit Bravo show is stored away and never seen again. But since Teresa and Joe Giudice are being charged with 39 counts of fraud, including conspiracy to commit mail and wire fraud, bank fraud, making false statements on loan applications and bankruptcy fraud, the footage has been requested to see if there is any proof on tape of inappropriate spending.

“The network is not happy,” the source says. “Everyone is asking if ‘Housewives’ ruined Teresa. The real question is, will Teresa ruin ‘Housewives’?”

A trial date has been set for October 8th.

  1. Now here is when it gets interesting for the prosecutor(s) and Bravo. The Guidice’s must be on pins & needles. We all know Teresa did A LOT of spending the first few seasons. What a nightmare this must be!

  2. This was done from 2004 to 2008, the first showed aired 2009, So I do not see how anything other than the first years footage is even submissable……………. And looks to me, once she made money and was on the show she was doing the right thing, so in NO Way SHOULD BRAVO HOLD HER RESPONSIBLE.

    1. I don’t know what info you got, but one of the claims alleged is that she didn’t declare her BRAVO salary, so that would be after she was on the show.

    2. Submissable? You mean admissible? Bravo isn’t charging her with anything, the federal government is. Anything that shows evidence of her committing the crimes, at any time, from any source, will be subpoenaed.

Bravo isn’t holding her responsible, the federal government is. Bravo is unhappy that they have evidence that will be needed in court.

Once she made the money from Bravo she was doing the right thing? I don’t understand why people even comment on this when they haven’t read the indictment, or don’t understand it. No, she didn’t do the right thing. In fact, it was at that point that she committed some of the biggest of the 39 crimes.

  3. how much did bravo give her,to pretend she was spending lots more, than she really did,on the shopping trips,or paying the furniture men.

    1. Seriously?

Even if Bravo paid her to pretend she was using stolen money – one of the 39 counts is that she lied about the money from Bravo. Hello!

  4. We saw her brag that she always paid CASH when she was spending hundreds of thousands on furniture! This cracks me up because there are only two reasons why people do that: 1) To get a deal by allowing the merchant to hide taxable income while not paying the sales tax yourself or 2) The money you’re spending was either ill-gotten or at least unreported income. And I wonder how much more BRAVO footage will show that so Teresa’s idea at the time was to show what a big shot she was. At the time her husband was pouring cement for a living and declaring income in line with that, not their lifestyle. Stupid doesn’t mix well with dishonest.

  5. BOYCOT BRAVO if Teresa isn’t fired!!! If you are as tried as I am of Teresa’s lying and now the fact she has been arrested on 39 counts for being a thief and liar. The Feds can’t be wrong that many times.

    1. poison joe, chris, and the wackjob,go to court first week in sept, lets see if bravo shows it or andy even questions them

  6. This seems unconstitutional should be considered private ,like text msg etc… I’m sure her well paid lawyers will fight that

  7. Donna – TexT Messages, Email and all Social Media can be used to prosecute all it takes is a little Court Order signed by a Judge. If these thieves don’t go to prison for a very long time there is something seriously wrong with our judicial system.
