Real Housewives of Atlanta star Phaedra Parks is set to go to trial for claims in a defamation lawsuit made by her former friend that she oversaw a “criminal enterprise†alongside her husband Apollo Nida, using fake bank accounts, bad checks, stolen cars and more, according to a new report.
Parks sued Stanton in 2012 for defamation over Stanton’s book; Lies of a Real Housewife: Tell The Truth & Shame The Devil because of the claims above. Stanton hit back with her own counterclaims.
Parks tried multiple times to have those counterclaims dismissed, but was denied most recently on March 12, 2016, RadarOnline reports via court documents they obtained.
There is one more hearing for a potential summary judgment on April 20. If the judge denies the judgment again, the case will go to trial the next day, on Thursday morning at 9:30 a.m. in Georgia.
Parks’s rep declined to comment on the pending legal matter. Stanton did not immediately respond to Radar’s request for comment.
