NeNe Leakes Slams Kenya, Responds To Accusation She Was “Gay Bashing”

NeNe Lakes is taking to her Bravo Blog this week to discuss the fight on The Real Housewives of Atlanta. NeNe insists she didn’t provoke the fight and blames Kenya for charging Natalie. NeNe also responds to Kenya’s comments that she was “gay bashing” when she called Brandon a “Queen.”

NeNe writes, “I created this game called “Pillow Talk.” It all started from Gregg and I basically discussing our day or any issues we had with each other at the end of our day once we got in bed at night. Obviously this party is for adults only with adult topics and content that build unity, start conversation and debates between couples, friends, and even strangers! All the guests that were invited knew in advance what the dress code was and what my intentions were — to build unity within the group.

Yes, questions were being asked that some were uncomfortable with! I DID NOT write the questions, but I asked them, so blame me for that! I’ll accept that! I’ll even accept you saying I stirred the pot, but I can’t take the blame for uncontrollable adults picking up their fists to fight. Everyone is responsible for their own actions! Well, how do you have a debate without controversy? I guess you don’t! I don’t want to rehash this conversation any more than I already have. I already stated that Kenya charged out of her seat, and whether you could see it or not she did, and I stand by that! I also said Christopher NEVER touched her in an aggressive way. He was only trying to stop her from charging his wife, and I stand by that! I’m the first to tell you that a man should never touch a woman aggressively, and he didn’t! The rest of the ladies on the cast have spoken, so I rest my case.

P.S. Did I hear someone say I was “gay bashing” because I called Brandon a queen? Really? Bravo has a show called Fashion Queens with two very out gay men in women’s clothing, makeup, jewelry, and high heels! Are they “gay bashing”? Try something else, boo, because that won’t work! Girl, bye.”

My name is Nicki. I am 32 years-old and married to my best friend. I was previously in business for over 12 years, but I’ve always had a great passion for web and graphic design. Another one of my passions, of course, is to escape into the world of TV, which is where this journey began. My goal in starting AllThingsRH.com was to give fans, like myself, a place to catch up on all the latest news and gossip about The Real Housewives. I wanted to create a place where viewers could interact with each other, share their opinions, and get straight-forward and unbiased information about what’s going on. I am proud of the diversity this site has to offer.

I’m so f***king disappointed in you…and bravo. Bad idea…bad. And we,the viewers, are feeding into it. It was real alright…and reality…if that’s what it is…it really SUCKS. You (and Bravo) owe viewers an apology…as well as Brandon. And Kenya owes you nothing…she owes herself an apology for being there. A mixed PJ party…really? Natalie and you have demons in your kneecaps. We’ll pray for you.

It is gay bashing since she used in a negative connotation. While Bravo is using it as a positive characteristic

Amen to that…I’m beginning to think the beating Brandon took was either homophobic behavior or had something to do with fed investigation of appolo and others. Me thinks they doth protest too much! Gangstah?

I love NeNe but the HOST sets the tone for the party! You start it negative, it ends negative!
I understand you wanted to get Kenya back for how she acted on that bus BUT since you was
HOSTING (NeNe) you should have saved that for another time. You spent a lot of money to put
That together so your GOAL should have been to keep it in the POSITIVE! When you started with
Kenya it was clear where it was going! Alcohol flowing and the content of the questions was a
DISASTER waaaaaay before party started! You know people are going to be offended by these
Kinds of questions where mates are concerned because you have cut people for calling
Greg broke! Mates and kids are sensitive subjects for anyone and off limits! WHAT WERE YOU
THINKING! NOT A GOOD IDEA! NeNe I am a fan but you got that going! Since you are sooo LARGE
and in CHARGE you should have set a better tone for your party! It is NeNe’s fault and other LADIES
NEED TO WOMAN UP! No one is defending ratchet KENYA! JUST KEEPING IT REAL! BLOOP!

Gianna…Great job of summing it all up. I still haven’t figured out why no one (from group) has reached out to Brandon. I am now a Kenya fan for caring about someone beyond herself…not often seen on these shows. A distinct lack of soul (of most cast members…particularly NeNe). Be sure your sins will find you out!

Funny how you want Kenya to her wrong doing, yet you have never display humility when you are wrong. Ms. Nene Leaks is never wrong? It is the highest form of SELF-RESPECT to ADMIT your errors and mistakes and make amends for them. To make a mistake is only an error in judgment, but to adhere to it when it is discovered shows infirmity of character. What Lawrence and Derek are doing on fashion queens has nothing to do with the inflammatory comments made towards Brandon. It’s just another display of an unchecked ego.
