NeNe Leakes Gives Update on Teresa Giudice

Although Teresa Giudice and NeNe Leakes live far away, they definitely make time to catch up with each other when they can. While in Atlanta on a recent trip, the Real Housewives of New Jersey star recently caught up with her Real Housewives of Atlanta pal, who gave an update on how Teresa is doing while husband, Joe Giudice, is serving his 41-month prison sentence at FCI Fort Dix in New Jersey.

“Her spirits were very good,” NeNe told PEOPLE. “In fact, while we were together, Joe called. So she talks to Joe all the time, so if he’s having a hard time, I’m surprised. I feel like prayer changes things. I’ve never been through what they’re going through, and I can only imagine that must be super tough.”

Teresa’s lawyer James J. Leonard told PEOPLE that Teresa’s daughters have been able to visit their dad as much as they wish.

“Where he is, you get a certain number of points every month and each visit counts as a point. Weekend visits are considered more points,” Leonard explained. “So because he also has his mother and sister coming to visit, and Teresa can’t go during the week because the girls are in school, they’re having to do it every other weekend.”

Joe has more than two years left in prison and Leakes says all she can do is pray for her friend. “I feel like prayer changes things,” Leakes says. “I’ve never been through what they’re going through, and I can only imagine that must be super tough.”

My name is Nicki. I am 32 years-old and married to my best friend. I was previously in business for over 12 years, but I’ve always had a great passion for web and graphic design. Another one of my passions, of course, is to escape into the world of TV, which is where this journey began. My goal in starting AllThingsRH.com was to give fans, like myself, a place to catch up on all the latest news and gossip about The Real Housewives. I wanted to create a place where viewers could interact with each other, share their opinions, and get straight-forward and unbiased information about what’s going on. I am proud of the diversity this site has to offer.
