NeNe Leakes Gets Emotional When Her Husband Was Hospitalized

NeNe Leakes ended episode three of RHOA in tears. We saw NeNe have a real moment when her husband Gregg Leakes, landed in the hospital for a “dangerously low” heart rate, his doctors taking him for a minor surgery test to see if he had a blockage.

“I heard his voice on the phone and I knew that he was afraid,” NeNe said while she was rushing to go to the hospital. “Like, ‘If this is the last time that I’m going to see anybody, I need to see my wife.’ … Everything was just kind of going really left.”

“Oh my God, what if Gregg doesn’t come home?” an emotional NeNe asked. “What will they find? Is this something that Gregg’s not telling me? I can’t even imaging Gregg not walking on this earth. I can’t do this. Gregg has to get better.”

Earlier in the episode, Gregg had complained about his health, saying he  was experiencing chest pains, numbness and felt like he was “going to pass out.”

“For the last couple days he’s been like, ‘I just don’t feel good. I just don’t feel good.’ But this time he was crying in tears,” NeNe told Cynthia Bailey. “I was like, ‘Okay, you want to go to the doctor or do you want to go to the hospital?’ And he was like, ‘I want to go to the hospital.’ ”

“His dad had heart issues, and Gregg’s always had it in his head that he’s going to have heart issues,” she added.

However, NeNe told Cynthia, “I think he’ll be fine,” but Cynthia said that NeNe didn’t realize how dire the situation was.

“I’ve known NeNe for like eight years now. I know she is very concerned, but I also can see that she’s in denial,” Bailey confessed. “I don’t think she’s fully grasped how serious any type of heart situation could potentially be. I think NeNe is dealing with the situation with Gregg the best way she knows how to. She’s not the girl that handles any kind of sick.”

After  Gregg went to the hospital, NeNe has a very vulnerable moment on the show.

“[He’s] elevating his feet and all this stuff, trying to keep his heart rate where it needs to be,” she said, explaining that Gregg was still suffering from dizziness from time to time. “Last night I didn’t sleep good because normally it’s me who’s gone. Normally Greg is here, so I didn’t sleep good knowing he is gone.”

“I’ve been with Gregg since I was in my 20s,” NeNe said on the episode. “The only secret I can tell you a relationship is finding a way to still love each other and be attracted to one another. Without Gregg, what would I do. Who is going to cut the grass? Who is the poll person? Who do we pay our lights and gas to?”

My name is Nicki. I am 32 years-old and married to my best friend. I was previously in business for over 12 years, but I’ve always had a great passion for web and graphic design. Another one of my passions, of course, is to escape into the world of TV, which is where this journey began. My goal in starting AllThingsRH.com was to give fans, like myself, a place to catch up on all the latest news and gossip about The Real Housewives. I wanted to create a place where viewers could interact with each other, share their opinions, and get straight-forward and unbiased information about what’s going on. I am proud of the diversity this site has to offer.

So many more reasons to worry about a person being gone that who to pay the bills too. All that will get figured out. I hope Gregg has a speedy and full recovery.

Yes Cat I agree with you, however when confronted with situations humans seems to think of the comom everyday things instead of what is to come that is why it is asked to tolerate and be kind of the one who is taking the journey and the one who is left behind in much need of help and assistance

I know Nene jokes a lot and I try to make excuses for her prideful behavior..but Greg is her rock! She makes him sound like “her assistant, and pool and yard boy”..I hope this isn’t the case but he has spoiled her so much maybe it’s good she recognizes how MUCH he does for her emotionally AND physically! She isnt getting any younger herself.. sort of starting to look like an “overripe Georgia peach ! Stop trying to be the Queen all the time and just cherish whatever time you have left with that good man!!

I hope it’s something minor with Gregg, I view him as a good person & I love Nene.
Wishing him prayers for good health.

I felt badly for Gregg…it was clear that he had a rough go of it. He’s a nice man who really brings out the humanity in Nene, I do wish him a full recovery -poor thing.
