During next week’s episode of The Real Housewives of New Jersey, Melissa Gorga will share some details about her rocky childhood. And RealityTea reports, Melissa’s upbringing was very dysfunctional. We will see Melissa struggle with opening up about her father’s infidelity in her book that will hit shelves in September.
And an insider is sharing new details about Melissa’s family, exclusively with RealityTea. “Melissa doesn’t have a strong sense of family. Melissa’s father battled with drugs and her parents didn’t have a good marriage,” the source tells the site. “Melissa isn’t a huge fan of her in laws because she knows no matter what, they take their daughter’s side. The whole ‘I want to be a family’ is truly nonsense. She is very happy having her husband all to herself, always being with her family, and playing the victim.”
Melissa’s father was killed in a car accident when she was 17 years-old. She addressed her father’s passing in a 2011 Blog. “About my father, Anthony John Marco, may he rest in peace, and I hope he’s looking down on me and proud of who I am. I know what it is like to lose a family member, it is not pretty. I still deal with it every single day. I am still mad at him for not having his seatbelt on that day he got into the car accident. I know what it is like to not have him walk me down the aisle, not see this beautiful house I live in, not see me graduate college, never meet my babies and never meet Joe. I want Joe and his family to realize how lucky they are that they all still have each other, and they can all still spend time together. The clock keeps ticking and the hours keep on going. Time is being wasted. It’s time to fix this.”
