Melissa Gorga Defends Controversial Book, Says It Was Taken Out Of Context

Melissa Gorga is defending herself amidst the controversy surrounding her book, Love Italian Style. When a report stated the RHONJ star was advocating marital rape, E! asked Melissa if she has any regrets about what was in the book. “Not at all,” Melissa said. “I stand by what I said. I truly believe in everything I said in it.”

“Men, I know you think your woman isn’t the type who wants to be taken,” Joe Gorga wrote in one passage. “But trust me, she is. Every girl wants to get her hair pulled once in a while. If your wife says “no,” turn her around, and rip her clothes off. She wants to be dominated. Women don’t realize how easy men are. Just give us what we want.”

But Melissa is standing by her husband’s remarks and saying they were taken out of context. “I think if you just read the one line that Joe said you might take it the wrong way,” she said. “But continue to read and you’ll see where it belongs.”

My name is Nicki. I am 32 years-old and married to my best friend. I was previously in business for over 12 years, but I’ve always had a great passion for web and graphic design. Another one of my passions, of course, is to escape into the world of TV, which is where this journey began. My goal in starting AllThingsRH.com was to give fans, like myself, a place to catch up on all the latest news and gossip about The Real Housewives. I wanted to create a place where viewers could interact with each other, share their opinions, and get straight-forward and unbiased information about what’s going on. I am proud of the diversity this site has to offer.
