Marlo Hampton Responds To NeNe Leakes’ Comments On Why She Isn’t A Housewife

During a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly, NeNe Leakes called out her good friend, Marlo Hampton for being one of the most difficult bridesmaids ever. NeNe also revealed it was because of Marlo’s difficult behavior on I Dream Of NeNe that she never landed a permanent role on The Real Housewives of Atlanta. “After working with Marlo on the show, I could see why she was not a housewife, because she’s super difficult,” NeNe said. “She’s super extra.”

But Marlo is speaking with RadarOnline and firing back at NeNe. “I have no husband, so I can’t even be a full-time housewife,” Marlo says. “There’s nothing normal about me, I love being extra and I own it. That’s part of Marlo. Me being normal, you wouldn’t see me every week being on the show and I’m sure she wouldn’t have asked me to be in her wedding if I wasn’t extra.”

“Everyone loves my personality. The producers love me. Which producer wouldn’t love me? It would be a fool not to, right?” Marlo continues. “It just would be friend of the housewives, [but] I always just say a cast member because I’m on it. I’m being called to tape… so I would definitely say I’m a cast member with Bravo.”

Marlo even reveals she will be appearing in season 6 of RHOA. “I’m taping a couple of scenes here and there,” she says. “I don’t know if I’m supposed to tell you that, but yeah.”

My name is Nicki. I am 32 years-old and married to my best friend. I was previously in business for over 12 years, but I’ve always had a great passion for web and graphic design. Another one of my passions, of course, is to escape into the world of TV, which is where this journey began. My goal in starting AllThingsRH.com was to give fans, like myself, a place to catch up on all the latest news and gossip about The Real Housewives. I wanted to create a place where viewers could interact with each other, share their opinions, and get straight-forward and unbiased information about what’s going on. I am proud of the diversity this site has to offer.
