Luann de Lesseps is in Rehab

The most shocking news of 2017 was probably RHONY star Luann de Lesseps’ arrest in Florida on Christmas Eve. As we reported, de Lesseps was arrested on charges of battery on an officer, disorderly intoxication, resisting arrest with violence and crimes against a person.

“The Countess” appeared in court early and was released on her own recognizance. She reportedly slammed a door and kicked at least one police officer during the incident early Sunday, an assistant state’s attorney told the court.

“I’m going to kill you all,” the state’s attorney said De Lesseps told people prior to her arrest.

Now, Luann has revealed she is going to a rehabilitation facility. She took to Instagram, writing, “After the events of last Saturday night in Palm Beach, I am truly embarrassed. I have decided to seek professional guidance and will be voluntarily checking into an alcohol treatment center. I intend to turn this unfortunate incident into a positive life changing event. Once again, I sincerely apologize for my actions. I have the greatest respect for police officers and the job they do.  My actions alleged in the police report do not reflect my core values and my law abiding character. I am so grateful for the love and support that I am receiving from my family, friends and loyal supporters.”

What does Luann’s ex-husband, Tom D’Agostino, think of this news? Apparently, he is shocked and sad. A source tells People Tom “felt really sad for Luann and her family that they had to go through this over the holidays,” and he was “shocked” that she was in town since she has “no ties” of her own to the Florida city where the former couple spent time together.

What was your reaction to Lu’s arrest?

My name is Nicki. I am 32 years-old and married to my best friend. I was previously in business for over 12 years, but I’ve always had a great passion for web and graphic design. Another one of my passions, of course, is to escape into the world of TV, which is where this journey began. My goal in starting AllThingsRH.com was to give fans, like myself, a place to catch up on all the latest news and gossip about The Real Housewives. I wanted to create a place where viewers could interact with each other, share their opinions, and get straight-forward and unbiased information about what’s going on. I am proud of the diversity this site has to offer.

Can’t wait for court on the 25th? I wonder if she’ll stop drinking like Sonja did?

    • Amanda Bates Barnette

Not too sure Sonja ever really did lol

      • cat62

Sonja was def more enjoyable when she “quit” drinking.

      • UnrealHousewife57

        Exactly! LOL!

  • kt

So she waited till after New Years? Hope she got the largest room…if not that could be a trigger?!

Ok – I’ll stop with the Luiar trashing…

  • cat62

Good Luck – you will enjoy life more sober. Just please-please do not climb up on a high horse…grace and humility are the name of the game.

    • HuckabeesWonkyEye

She’s already on a high horse.

  • Starr

In a nutshell, these middle aged women drink way too much & their behavior is as bad as the Vanderpump rules group.
Maybe this is a wake up call for them all.

  • I hope she thinks about the fact that were she a person of color, she probably would have been sent to the morgue rather than rehab for her actions.

    • HuckabeesWonkyEye

      CLAPPING FRANTICALLY.

    • justanothermary

She is a person of color. Native Americans are considered as such.

      • Do you honestly think that when a cop looked at her, he or she saw anything but a drunk and annoying rich white lady?

        • justanothermary

You don’t get to have it both ways. She’s and Indian, so am I.

          • I didn’t say she wasn’t. I am saying that it is unlikely in that moment that she was perceived as a person of color.

  • HuckabeesWonkyEye

If she wasn’t such an arrogant condescending elitist phoney I’d feel bad for her. As it stands, I’m doing a full on point and laugh.

  • Frank Van Der Heijden

Now she will have a something to bring to the next season, I hope the rehab also treats her sex addiction, a nymphomaniac countess is not precisely chic….c’est la vie

    • Amanda Bates Barnette

What’s wrong with being a nympho? Lol

      • Frank Van Der Heijden

Other than being at risk of getting a STD and needing periodical vaginal rejuvenation there´s nothing wrong with that….that thing stretches and at some point starts to look like of the tunnels in NYC

        • Amanda Bates Barnette

          Too funny….

        • justanothermary

Didn’t Dorinda make an analogy about Sonja and her Holland Tunnel?

    • UnrealHousewife57

Isn’t it interesting that every single thing Bethenny said to her at Dorinda’s house is true?

  • Deborah Brenner

I’m tired of celebrities putting themselves in rehab time-out to avoid heavier charges. She’s not an alcoholic, she’s another drunk that thinks she’s entitled.

    • UnrealHousewife57

A drunk that thinks she’s entitled sounds like an alcoholic to me. Just sayin’. 😉
