Lisa Rinna Reacts To Her Conversation With Yolanda

Lisa

Lisa Rinna is taking to her biog this week to share her feelings on her talk with Yolanda Foster. Rinna says her conversation with Foster was a good thing for both of them and she is happy they were able to move forward.

“I’d like to start off by giving my most heartfelt thanks to everyone that sent me a message of love and condolence. Your kind words truly helped my family and me during this difficult time of my dad transitioning from our Dad and Nampa to guardian angel. I was and still continue to be humbled by all of the love you have shown us during this time. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

I’m also quite grateful and appreciative to Erika for inviting me over to her insanely gorgeous house, so she could offer her insight and advice about how I should approach Yolanda. But let’s just take a moment to address the fact that I said Erika’s home makes LVP’s Villa Rosa look like a disco. I love a good disco.

But let’s get back to the topic at hand…I am quite thankful Erika was able to reassure me that Yolanda would appreciate me being honest with her since the two of them are so close. Hearing that from Erika spoke volumes. As we saw on tonight’s episode, Erika had the opportunity to take a walk with Yolanda and fill her in on what happened after she left Kyle’s “BBQ.” Erika caught her up on the dynamic between Kathryn and Faye, as well as the part of the evening when Kyle asked LVP about Yolanda’s children and their Lyme diagnosis. Yolanda also let Erika know that I had called her and asked to sit down to speak with her. What a relief it was when Yolanda agreed to meet with me, since I had called her weeks before this asking to take her to lunch at that time so I could address the conversations I was a part of. She told me that she did not want to talk to me before her explant surgery, and I could understand and respect that. So, keep in mind, quite a bit of time had passed before she agreed to speak with me.

As you all know, honesty is very important to me, so being able to sit down with Yolanda in her home and speak candidly with her about all of the questions and chatter surrounding her health was a good thing for both of us. We were able to discuss her deep desire to bring awareness to Lyme Disease, and I was also able to address how in the process of raising awareness, many questions fueled from confusion will also, inevitably, rise to the surface. I know Yolanda already knows this to be true as she said herself–even her own family and friends have raised questions. Overall, this was a good conversation, and I am happy to move forward.

Now it’s time to celebrate Lisa and Ken’s 33 years and Kyle and Mauricio’s 20 years of wedded bliss by dressing like expensive hookers. Count me in! There are two things I can’t pass up:

1. A piece of cake.
2. An opportunity to dress like a hooker with a fake hair piece in a swanky hotel with my friends.

Everyone looked so gorgeous, and despite the drama that lingered in the air, I thoroughly enjoyed watching Kyle do the splits. I don’t know anyone that can ‘hit a split’ (thanks for that phrase, Erika!) quite like Kyle, and it actually brings me great joy every time I see her do it. Shoot, if it brings ME great joy, I can only imagine the elation it must bring Mauricio! No wonder those two are so happily married!

Next week looks like it will be a doozy with some inaccurate information being spread that will inevitably cause some collateral damage. Oh boy!”

My name is Nicki. I am 32 years-old and married to my best friend. I was previously in business for over 12 years, but I’ve always had a great passion for web and graphic design. Another one of my passions, of course, is to escape into the world of TV, which is where this journey began. My goal in starting AllThingsRH.com was to give fans, like myself, a place to catch up on all the latest news and gossip about The Real Housewives. I wanted to create a place where viewers could interact with each other, share their opinions, and get straight-forward and unbiased information about what’s going on. I am proud of the diversity this site has to offer.

Lisa Rinna just said out loud what most of us are/were thinking. Lyme disease is treatable, not genetic, and Yolanda’s twitter account is confusing…
Lisa also did the right thing…by coming clean with Yo.
Yolanda, of course, didn’t want to talk about it ….and needed to go lie down.

    • GIGICAT

Apple, you took the words right out of my mouth! ITA

You’re not factually correct. Not all Lyme’s is curable; chronic Lyme Disease is just that….chronic. And sometimes, current treatment protocols are ineffectual. It’s still not terribly well understood. I live in the northeast –ground zero for Lymes — and many people here have it. As I’ve posted before, I have one friend who has chronic neurological Lymes and her sister has to raise her kids, it’s so bad. Another acquaintance has had Lymes for over 15 years and it’s mystifying as her symptoms change frequently, and come and go. Also, Yolanda has recapped all of her lab results publically and in amazing detail.

I think this season has tapped into a more widespread controversy in the medical community about whether chronic Lyme disease actually exists. Major national medical journals, such as The New England Journal of Medicine, have noted a serious lack of reproducible or convincing scientific evidence in favour of its existence. This is not, however, to say that these people are not sick. The major controversies surround the underlying pathologies and their causes and whether or not they are specifically causally related to the Borrelia bacteria.

      • apple

The Infectious Diseases Society of America (IDSA), regards Lyme disease as “hard to catch and easy to cure” with a short course of antibiotics. IDSA claims that spirochetal infection cannot persist in the body after a short course of antibiotics. The group also denies the existence of chronic Lyme disease.

        • RHOBHLover

This is why it is so controversial. Honestly, I am not well-read enough with the literature to properly discuss it and give an official opinion, but I know that late diagnosis (as with any infection) can result in permanent damage to organs and joints, which may go some way to explaining why these people don’t get better, even after the infection has been cleared.

          • That’s what I’ve read too, and just because something isn’t classed yet doesn’t mean it isn’t real, there seems to be too many cases of people having chronic issues after being cured of Lyme.
The doctor we saw Yolanda with back in season 4 said she’d be suffering with it for years to come because of how they caught it.

Though I do think what’s not clear is what Yolanda is doing and why, like the silicone being taking out had nothing to do with her Lyme disease, but was a possibility it was effecting her overall healthy which was compromising her ability to heal after the Lyme disease. That’s what I took away from it, but it could have been made a lot clearer, and I’ve no doubt Bravo have that footage somewhere but are more interested in Yolanda being showing doing procedures than talking about it.

          • apple

Well…there may be controversy, but treatment for persistent or recurrent infection from Lyme disease has no grounding in legitimate medical science. On this point the Centers for Disease Control, the National Institutes of Health, and the Infectious Diseases Society of America are all agreed.

            • Which is why Yolanda is doing everything she can to source out the problem, because there is no verified treatment plan.

            • RHOBHLover

Not necessarily treatment. All those disease centres advise against long-term antibiotic use in patients with ‘chronic’ Lyme disease, as there is no empirical evidence to support their use; in fact, it may be harmful. There are other forms of treatment available, they just won’t technically target ‘chronic Lyme disaease’, because, as I said, its mere existence is controversial, but their suffering is real.

  • Sally☺️

I love Lisa VP’s house! What a nerve!!! Lol. I haven’t seen the episode but I don’t think I’m missing much at the moment. If it was based around Yolanda I would have wizzed it anyway!

  • Naynay

Yolanda did say her friends should be taking care of her not talking about her..eye roll. Also Yolanda had to once again cut the convo short and go lay down because she was sweating..hello Menopause.
Its called Menopause Yo-Yo..eye roll again.

  • One Rotten Egg

Glad Lisa finally spoke with Yo about what everyone else was thinking.

What looked ridiculous was those grown “rich” women dressing so trashy thinking they looked good.

  • Sally☺️

A message for Rain, you said you watched Greese live what was it like? It is on here tonight! I really want to watch it but I don’t want to be disappointed!! Xo
Or anyone else who watched it!!!

    • Rain

You won’t be disappointed!! ;). If you were s fan of the original and the know and love those songs, you will love it 🙂

      • Sally☺️

Great I loved it. I have seen a few things lately that are remakes or live and have been so disappointed! That’s on record now in case I fall asleep again!!!

  • Jake

    Nasty Rinna

  • Aunt Bee

Yolanda — make laugh. You want your friends to come and take care of you????? You’ve got your $200 an hour Daisy to do that — you don’t need friends.

    • Sally☺️

Precisely Bee, why would anyone think their friends should take care of them! Ridiculous. I didn’t like Yolanda initially but really cannot watch her now at all!

    • I don’t know, my initial thought was the same as yours, but thinking on it more paying someone to care for you vs having a friend come over really isn’t the same thing, and she was saying if they are gonna spend that time talking about her, why not just come over and support her instead, so she does have a point.

    • patricia

ITA. Especially LVP, is a hard worker & has many businesses.

  • I used to like Yolanda, but have grown tired of her self-righteous attitude. In her side interview when Lisa was apologizing she made a snarky comment how Lisa wasn’t really apologizing but only deflecting. Yolanda needs to be more gracious and less judgemental.

    • Jake

lol I wonder how you’d react if you supposed friend talked sh*t behind your back and then came back with a fake apology. Yolanda handled Rinna with class, I wish she’d thrown her out of her house kicking her to the curb. Rinna is just here for a storyline and will talk crap about anyone, look at what’s to come. LVC is going to deserve what’s coming her way haha. That’s what you get for being friend with that kinda person

    • patricia

I think Yo needs to practice what she preaches about empathy for others. She should have understood other people’s questions, as she herself had a hard time going through all of the different medical problems.

  • I will never forget, and likely neither will Lisa V. (when it is shown) that Rinna said Erika’s house made Lisa’s house look like a “disco.” Oh man. If this is what she means about no filter, maybe she should go buy one. Attach firmly to mouth. Her lips should be able to handle it.

  • And I have to say before all of the trash talk about Kyle and the splits come out that she did them first at a party with Egyptian belly dancers and a camel to greet guests, second time at a belly dancing lesson as the party theme, and now, at her own party. She was raised in Hollywood afterall! If that’s the worst thing she does at parties, I’m all good. And doing them sideways is a lot more difficult than the other way. I thought the dress code was a wonderful way to express themselves. ( I wonder if Keenya would have griped about that dress code? ) LVP, IMO, had the most revealing costume on of anyone. I was surprised the front was all the way up to her tights. At 55 she looks great. Or however old she is. 52 in Puerto Rico, so I am going from there.

  • Lisa R. did not apologize, she deflected her own BS, and threw Lisa V. & Kyle under the bus—WTH? I don’t know why QVC would hire Lisa R. and sell her overpriced crap. Lisa R. is a snake, fake as they come.
And PLEASE, don’t get me started on splits again—-really, this woman is beyond ignorant, she thinks doing the splits in public is a feat similar to inventing the wheel, makes her really special—-UGGG, note to vyle, stop with the splits, no one cares……

    • Note to Duchess of Diarrhea, God I can smell it from here.

  • Awww, poor lemonhead – got called out on her own BS (munchausen)—love it…. And the sweats ARE MENOPAUSE. lemonhead needs psychological help and she does have munchausen and as far as the TMI / gross implant crap—–lemons knew 10 years ago that she ruptured them and STILL left them in (what could go wrong)? This woman is mentally unstable and OVERLY entitled if she thinks her (friends) are supposed to stop their lives and come and give her the attention she craves.
lemons has menopause, calf licked my face, boob implant, neurological, lymes, intestinal worms disease——wonder if she’ll add anymore to the list?
BTW, the sicko selfies are NOT adding awareness to lymes disease, they are making everyone want to hurl—–
note to lemonhead—STOP WITH THE SELFIES, really, we don’t care—-you are beyond annoying….And no one believes you either, we all know it’s munchausen….

  • lemon head scenes ==== FAST FORWARD BUTTON……….

  • This was again, such a produced awkward scene to watch. I think Rinna believes Yolanda is sick and has from the start, she just brought up Munchhausen to create drama, then she realized she’d have to come face to face with the consequences of that drama. Unlike when that’s been the case before she wasn’t going up against Kim who would overreact and make such a big deal of it she’d overshadow how awful Rinna was being, but this time she was up against someone who wasn’t going to do that and you could tell she was worried.
