Lisa And Lenny Hochstein Begin Tearing Down Historic Mansion On Star Island

Real Housewives of Miami star Lisa Hochstein and her husband Lenny have begun the process of tearing down this historic Miami mansion that was built in the 1920s, much to the outrage of the Miami Design Preservation League. Daniel Ciraldo with the Miami Design Preservation League exclusively told RadarOnline, “We are at a loss for words as one of Miami Beach’s most iconic homes meets the bulldozer.”

The RHOm star and her husband, a plastic surgeon known as the “Boob God,” paid less than $8 million for the historic home and plan to tear it down and build a 20,000 square-foot home on Star Island. Ciraldo told the site, “The home, designed by Florida’s first registered architect, stood beautifully on its site for nearly 100 years. Now, the newest owners who purchased it in a foreclosure want to maximize their investment by replacing it with an oversized McMansion.”

Lisa took to Twitter to update fans on her project. “I just took the first major chunk out of our star island home in high heels. I can do anything in heel lol #demolition #bubbye.”

Lenny has defended the couple’s right to tear down the home by telling the Miami Herald, “I’m not trying to make this home a museum. I’m trying to make a home for my family.”

  1. No wonder health care is so expensive – so doctors can tear down historical sites and build outrageous homes. Too bad Lenny can’t use his talents to help poor children with disfigured birth defects lead better lives. You two make me sick.

  2. I don’t care how much money you have, but to tear down history? Are you kidding? I’m getting sick to death of you rich people not giving a damn about history and just doing as you please!! What the hell, let the Historic Society have the mansion. My family farm is with them, that makes me proud because of the history of this farm. Don’t tear history down, come on think of the family and their Ancestors that had this place. I bet when it was sold the people didn’t have a clue what you were going to do?! Unbelievable!!!

  3. On the very first episode that Lisa appeared in she said her dream was to own a home on Star Island and be friends with Ms Black. Lisa is nothing but a social climber. Yuck!

  4. The house was decaying into shambles. Where was the Historic Society when the previous owners ran out of money and needed help to keep a roof over their head? L & L bought it; they can do with it as they please.

  5. They own it and they have right to do with that house whatever they wish. He is right, he is not planning to do from that house a Museum. Stop judging rich people. If you put eye on somebodies money, you wont make your own money. They work hard to make that money, Its not like they shit money every time they go to loo. He invested on his education and concentrated on his career and now enjoying the result. They work very hard to become rich and known. So you beautiful judger’s go concentrate on your life, concentrate earning big money and after earning that money if you still care about that house then you can make offer to buy it and make it a Museum. After 100 years later your house will become a history or its already history you are not aware of :))))))
