LeeAnne Locken Opens Up About Flesh-Eating Bacteria Health Scare

In the trailer for season two of The Real Housewives of Dallas, LeeAnne Locken reveals that she had a flesh-eating bacteria.

In a scene she tells Brandi Redmond and Stephanie Hollman, “It’s a flesh-eating bacteria.”

Now, Locken is opening up about her health scare, which occurred in early December. “It was the worst health scare I’ve ever had in my entire life,” she told PEOPLE. “It took me three months to kill that thing. I was sleeping 18 hours a day, I couldn’t get out of bed. My veins were collapsing from dehydration. I was at the doctor three times a week. I had to shower twice a day and dry off with a sponge. And took topical and oral medication daily. It was just an exhausting experience. I knew it was not right the second I got it, but I couldn’t have imagined how bad it would be.”

LeeAnne also shared that her internal injuries are “just starting to recover.”

My name is Nicki. I am 32 years-old and married to my best friend. I was previously in business for over 12 years, but I’ve always had a great passion for web and graphic design. Another one of my passions, of course, is to escape into the world of TV, which is where this journey began. My goal in starting AllThingsRH.com was to give fans, like myself, a place to catch up on all the latest news and gossip about The Real Housewives. I wanted to create a place where viewers could interact with each other, share their opinions, and get straight-forward and unbiased information about what’s going on. I am proud of the diversity this site has to offer.

Oh brother…there is a pattern, whenever one of those women have no story to bring to the show they come up with a whatever scare … halitosis, bacterial vaginosis, athlete´s foot, haemorroids, anal warts, etc etc etc ..all in a desperate attempt to garner some sympathy, then they do an interview where they bawl their eyes out

It happens in every housewife show

  • Kelly Anne Conway

She should have got the disease in her tong, so she will stop telling so many lies and cut the BS. Necrotizing Fasciitis is never treated orally nor topically, it requires mega-doses of intra-venous antibiotics.

There you have some toilet paper, LeeAnne, wipe your mouth a little

  • Rain

She’s kinda a fake villain . She so ANGRY above anything else

  • Lady of London

Internal injuries ?..pleeease, flesh eating disease happens in the skin, if she had it inside she´d be six feet under already, and the treatment happens very quick, not three months. Why do they have to make up stuff like that ? …to draw attention to themselves ?…to gather empathy ?..to have something going on for the show ?…all of the above ?

Liar, liar, pants on fire !

    • Countess of Long Island

All of the above…that woman brings nothing to the show, she’s just an angry woman because she’ll never belong to the high society of Dallas…nor any of the housewives, for that matter

    • NF Survivor

I agree she should not lie about this, However, flesh eating bacteria aka Necrotizing Fasciitis can be internal as well just very rare occurrences…i am a survivor and I had many surgeries and was in ICU…have never heard anyone having topical treatment

      • Countess of Long Island

She had it in December, and she`s fully recovered ?…enough to be giving interviews ?

That is pure and sheer bovine manure….

  • Bon Vivant

Lord, Leann and that damned cheek blush, lol…

  • Countess of Long Island

What a shameless liar…if she had had it she would not be giving interviews, that is a serious infection, people can die from it in matter of days…

  • AuntBee

There is something so fake about this woman. I feel sorry for that man she cohabits with. He should never ever marry her.

    • Countess of Long Island

Everything about this woman is fake…
