Kyle and Kim Richards Pay Tribute To Their Mother Kathleen

Kyle Richards and Kim Richards are paying tribute to their late mother Kathleen on the 15th anniversary of her death.

Kim wrote, “My mom was the most amazing person.. she loved her girls and grandchildren more than anything in the world. She was strong …& yet most loving & caring woman. Always taking people under her wing. There is not a day that I don’t think of my mom and wish she was still here. But I do know she is watching over all of us … and gives me peace knowing she can see all the good that is happening in our lives our new bab[ies]!!”

Kyle added, “Today marks 15 years since we lost our Mom to breast cancer. We love & miss her everyday.”

Kathleen’s influence runs deep. She serves as the inspiration for the 1970’s-set American Woman, the TV Land show that Kyle is executive producing. Alicia Silverstone is set to play a fictionalized version of Kyle’s mom.

“We wanted to really feel like you were in the ’70s and not having a costume party. The ’70s was my favorite time: the music, the clothing. It just feels like kind of a crazy, reckless time,” Kyle recently told The Daily Dish. “I think about growing up as a kid and my mom would be smoking a cigarette with all the windows up [in the car] and I was flopping around in the backseat with no seat belt on — I mean that would never happen today. At least we hope that would never happen today.”

  1. What a lovely tribute to their mom. It is apparent she had great influence on her girls. Kyle looks so much like her too.

  2. Oh wow, I can actually see both Kim AND Kyle in their mom’s face, sweet note of tribute, btw. I feel really lucky to still have my mom.
