The lawsuit between Kandi Burruss and Kim Zolciak has been resolved, and the judge ordered in favor of Kim. Kandi filed a lawsuit against Kim over their song ‘Don’t Be Tardy,’ claiming she was not properly compensated for the song, despite having co-written and produced the single. Kim filed for a dismissal, accusing Kandi of bringing the lawsuit to drum up publicity for her short-lived reality spin-off The Kandi Factory, which has been cancelled by Bravo.
U.S. District court, Judge William S. Duffey, Jr. found that Kandi (represented by RHOA castmate Phaedra Parks) could not sufficiently prove copyright infringement and that the court did not have jurisdiction to rule on damages, thereby ordering a dismissal of the lawsuit.
Kim took to Twitter to share the good news, writing, “The truth always prevails.”
