Kim Zolciak has filed her response to the lawsuit involving her former Real Housewives of Atlanta co-star, Kandi Burruss. Not only does Kim maintain she paid Kandi, but RadarOnline obtained a copy of a check where Kandi reimbursed Kim for what Kim claims was overpayment! In her response to the lawsuit, Zolciak claimed she paid Kandi $23,000 in royalties owed to her for the song, ‘Don’t Be Tardy For The Party.’ Those numbers contradict Kandi’s claims, because she says she was only paid $4,000!
In a check dated March 11, 2010, Kandi signed over $6,000 for royalty reimbursements from her Bank Of America account to Kim, but is now claiming that she is still owed additional royalties. But Kim claims the check proves she already paid Kandi…and then some!
“To date, Kim has written checks to Kandi and Don Vito in excess of $23,000. In fact, we believe that Kim may have overpaid a portion of their share to date based on the actual record sales,” Kim’s statement said.
Kim also wants a judge to throw out the lawsuit claiming it has no merit, TMZ reports.
