On this week’s episode of RHOA, Kenya explained to her friend Cynthia Bailey that she already felt divorce was a possibility in her brand new marriage to husband Marc Daly. Kenya shared that Marc was feeling the pressure of their public relationship and it “was just f*cking with him.”
“I literally have been married for all of five minutes but I have to say, getting married was the most amazing time in my life,” Moore told Bailey during a walk. “I think I’m still on cloud nine. Did I really get married? Did I really walk down the aisle?”
Kenya described how she and her new love met at a restaurant that he owned. She shared about their romantic encounter and gushed about his success. “My husband is a former Wall Street banker, entrepreneur, he does what he wants to do and he is very successful with what he wants to do.”
She explained to Bailey: “My husband and I met but we didn’t start dating until months later. I wasn’t in a serious headspace to have a relationship I needed to do a lot of work on myself. But right now, I’m in a totally different space. I worked on myself. I got my husband. He’s everything I prayed for.”
Cynthia advised, “Looking back, I wish I had done more to protect my marriage.”
But Kenya’s happiness didn’t last very long…
“This is not his world,” she admitted about her spouse. “In his case I feel like I need to be his protector. My husband is just feeling overwhelmed because he’s a private person. So, for him to now be the subject of every blog site internationally is insane to me.”
“It’s challenging not having my husband with me in the same city. Until we figure it out, this is just how it is. He did not sign up for the crazy, he signed up for me. It’s really scary how people don’t want to see you happy.”
She began crying and a producer tried to calm her down off-camera.
“You know we were supposed to be going to church tomorrow, the preacher [will] bless our wedding. It’s just f*cking with him. He can’t even sleep he’s not eating. He’s got ex-girlfriends sending him things about me from 25 years ago. Some famous guy I’ve dated. Like what does that have to do with now?”
The producer told her: “He’s got to fight the fight,” while Moore sobbed: “Everybody saying he fought his mother, everybody for me. I’ve been told so many times by people who were not very kind to me, they try to make me feel like you’re not worth of love. And all this pressure it too much. It’s like too much stuff going on.”
“I don’t wanna get divorced,” she cried.
So what does Kenya’s BFF Cynthia think of her husband?
“I’m a really, you know, good friend of Kenya’s,” she told ET. “But I did not know that she was getting married. Now, I definitely didn’t know that, and I was definitely a little pissed off about that. Like, I would’ve loved to have been there. I feel like, I’ve been through a lot with Kenya and her relationships and this is the good stuff that’s happening right now. Like, she met this great man and they’re getting married. I’m like, hello! I’ve been through the bad ones with you. Can I please be a part of this amazing guy that you’re in love with?”
Cynthia is totally supportive of Kenya’s relationship. “He exists,” Cynthia joked. “He’s awesome and they are great together. I am so rooting for them, 100 percent, and I really, honestly couldn’t be happier.”
