Kenya Moore Says She Is Not Bipolar & Does Not Have A Drinking Problem!

Kenya Moore

Kenya Moore’s arrival at a charity event on The Real Housewives of Atlanta was shocking, to say the least. Now, Kenya is taking to her Bravo Blog to clear up accusations that she is bipolar and has a drinking problem. Kenya writes that Phaedra’s claims that she is “bipolar” and “drinks like a fish” are no joking matter, and that mental illness is a serious disease. Read what else Kenya said below, as she addresses rumors and questions regarding her own mental health.

Kenya writes, “Undoubtedly with malice, Phaedra repeatedly and intentionally slanders and defames me with unfounded and untrue statements. All as punitive action when she learned of my intentions to make my own fitness video.  I have never been drunk a day in my life. Yet Phaedra wants everyone to believe I “drink like a fish.” Phaedra asserts that she believes I am bipolar or have a chemical imbalance. The only thing that makes me “crazy” is that I ever believed this woman was my friend. She is a malicious, despicable human being, who intentionally sought to malign my reputation and harm my future business with her debasing lies.

As a former psychology and communications major in college, if there is anyone capable of identifying mental illness or defect in others, it would be myself. Mental health has always been a passion of mine when I sought answers from my mother’s behavior toward me growing up. I once desired to become a child psychologist in order to help children who suffer from mental disorders or need therapy and or emotional support.

There are millions of people trapped in a prison in their own minds who are tortured daily and never seek or get professional help.  There are those who harm others or who are a threat to themselves, or, in extreme cases, are a detriment to society and themselves and need to be institutionalized. They are often incapable of working or living a normal life. We have seen them. The unnamed, unidentified homeless people who roam the streets and talk to themselves. We have seen them speak to imaginary voices in their heads and we have felt their pain and often look on wondering what can cure them, help them, or put them out of their misery. There are people who greatly suffer from mental illness and this is no laughing matter and certainly not one to be made a mockery of with terms like “bipolar” thrown around simply to humiliate or smear an individual for revenge.

Being bipolar is a lifelong disorder marked by great suffering from extensive depressive states that often are accompanied by suicidal thoughts most often successively followed by manic states presenting over two weeks or more. These symptoms are crippling and render the patient often unproductive or functional in daily life. I am none of the above. People have real and actual mental health issues, and I have seen the possibility of this from my own mother. I feel Phaedra’s atrocious mischaracterizations were especially cruel considering she was the only woman on the show I confided in regarding my lifelong struggles with my family regarding this. My mother literally tried to destroy me. But I’m still here and I’m thriving. And I’m not easily broken. Being emotional at times, reactionary, or angered does not make you are chemically imbalanced. It makes you human.

I believe I have seen Phaedra’s cold black heart. From her actions alone, this is a woman who will say anything and tell any lie in order to achieve a favorable outcome for herself. This must end. I believe people can see who she really is. With me, I don’t try to hide. I keep it real. It is what it is. That being said, when people show you who they are, believe them. Phaedra is a walking, talking hypocrite.  She wants to say I’m unstable, however, in actuality, she is the one who looks shady and duplicitous obviously lying to hurt me because we had a business falling out.

Yes, I am dramatic and I wanted to make a point. STOP SPREADING YOUR VINDICTIVE LIES. Business is business. I never attacked Phaedra personally. For her to go to extremes to hurt me was uncalled for. Therefore, in rare form, I let her have it plain and simple and spoke the truth, which she nor anyone else can deny. On another note, I told NeNe beforehand that I was going to come to the event with a dramatic entrance and outfit, and as shocking as it was, NeNe could only laugh. Got to love a girl who can laugh. I’m done with this. Whether people agree with my methods or not, you cannot disagree with the validity of my truth and the facts.”

It appears that you are the angry person, defaming Phaedra. What is so sad is that you probably had an agument, but lost it in the constant defamining of her. so sad….

And there you have it. A peek inside the mind of someone who is in severe undianosed distress. I think Kenya skipped the most important chapters about recognizing her symptoms and seeking treatment. The author of this article did not get any kind of a degree in psychology. These are her opinions.

Okay, so this blog meant absolutely nothing to me. “She is a malicious, despicable human being, who intentionally sought to malign my reputation and harm my future business with her debasing lies.” POT MEET KETTLE, KENYA. Phaedra did nothing wrong but call you out.
I love how she didn’t address calling Porsha and Phaedra men. Honey, if anyone is mannish it’s you. You were hit up and down the street by the ugly truck. I try not to talk about appearances but when you hit below the belt, we pull out all the stops, don’t we, Mr. Moore?
And how DARE she come to a charity event dressed like what she is, a hooker! Even street walkers have full clothes, she should’ve thrown a real dress on, or at least a coat! Nene even said in her one-on-one that what Kenya wore was inappropriate. That seems to be her running theme.
Kenya is despicable. Honestly, if she comes back for another season I probably won’t watch, she is that bad. She starts too much drama-even for a reality show!-she’s too mean-even for a reality show-and she’s flat out rude. Please take a hint, Bravo execs (I’m sure they read the gossip sites, too!): FIRE KENYA MOORE.

Kenya Kenya slow and take a breath. People will People you have nothing to prove to no one. By retalating you only made yourself look bad …. my mother treated me the same way and I thought I had something to prove to people.. Once I distanced myself from people who did not have my best interest at heart I did well. Don’t feel like you own any one an anwser. Also you don’t need a friend like Ms Lawerence he/she should have never let you go out like that ,you did and disgrace yourself in the public eye. A freind will listen and talk you out trouble Ms lawrence love trouble. You can do bad all by yourself. LET IT GO…….. holding onto your past will only destory your future. I am not here to bad mouth you. everyone else have done enough, Your a pych major so you know what to do. Many people go into this field to heal their own problems only to make them bigger. LET IT GO…….

Kenya, you are a piece of work! You say you are so pretty, you are not pretty, not inside or out! You have shown your true self on this show! You have no class! I have no earthly idea why you were ever picked for Miss USA, or miss America, who cares, it must have been a mistake, or by default, it wasn’t because of beauty or class! I have watched RHOA since the first show, I will not watch it anymore if you are on it next season! Hope the execs of Bravo listen to the audience!
