Kandi Reveals Mama Joyce Is Much More Supportive Of Husband Todd Tucker

Kandi Burruss appeared on Watch What Happens Live Sunday night after an all new episode of RHOA. Burruss dished on the latest with her cast mates and answered viewer questions.

First, Andy acknowledged that he hadn’t seen Kandi since the sudden passing of Todd’s mother Sharon.

“We’re doing pretty good,” Kandi told Cohen. “Todd is making it through. We have Kaela and we have Riley and we are trying to blend our family and he’s holding up the best he can.”

Andy also pointed out that Todd didn’t seem very excited to get his new car during tonight’s episode.

“No!” Kandi agreed. “I honestly feel like he knew ahead of time. I think Somebody had told him, because I’m like, ‘Why does he not seemed surprised?'”

When Cohen asked Kandi if she had any baby news to tell him, she said, “No. We are still working on it,” despite the fact that she has only been drinking water lately. Kandi also revealed that she and husband Todd would probably not adopt a child if they are unable to have a boy, because they already have two children of their own.

One viewer asked Kandi how she stays neutral amongst all the drama in the group.

“It’s not easy because a lot of people want you to pick sides,” she admits. “But I don’t feel like I owe anybody a side. It’s like if it’s right it’s right, if it’s funny I’m gonna laugh and if it ain’t then I won’t.”

The first caller asked Kandi what Mama Joyce thought about the car she bought Todd for his birthday.

“She didn’t say anything about the car, but she has come around,” Kandi reveals to a surprised Andy. “No seriously, things have gotten a lot better lately. They are communicating a lot better and she’s being a lot more supportive.”

Andy asked if Sharon’s passing had anything to do with Joyce’s change of tune.

“I don’t think it was just that,” Kandi continues. “I mean of course when something like that happens, it makes everybody come together and realize sometimes we can be petty about some things that you shouldn’t really trip about. I think he has also gained her respect over time. At the beginning she thought he wanted to live off me or whatever and Todd has executive produced his own shows since then.”

  1. I don’t know if I believe Kandi when she says Mama Joyce has gotten better. I won’t believe it unless Todd said it ir I saw it with my own eyes. Kandi is blind when it comes to her mother, and she sees what she wants to see not what is real. She has proven this time and time again. And if she is that way about her Mom, she will be that way about her daughter, and who knows if she if capable of being fair between her daughter and Todd’s daughter. Something tells me no and I bet her daughter knows it too.

    1. @Karen–I was just about to comment that very thing. kandi will never diss her mom, no matter what–she has been very vocal about that.

  2. If this is true, then it took Todd’s mother dying to finally be nice to him. If I were Todd I would care less if Joyce liked me or not.

    1. Well said. Who cares. Too little to late for Todd to feel on way or another. She’s been too nasty to him from the very beginning. She is an awful ungrateful excuse o a human.

  3. I don’t believe Kandi about her mother’s behavior. She has made excuses for it for way too long. I seriously doubt Todd’s answer would have matched this.

  4. Old skin is old skin. Mama Joyce will ALWAYS be a mean spirited, vicious, bad minded, unappreciative poor excuse of a human & will never change. Kandi is as always, covering for her sick mother & trying hard o portray her as the understanding parent. A bad seed is a bad seed & is incapable of change.

  5. Hope Todd gets this message: SPEND baby SPEND–hope the well runs dry for Joyce, then maybe she can choke on being right about Todd, like she feared.
