Jill Zarin On Her Current Friendship With Ramona Singer

We will see Jill Zarin appear this season on The Real Housewives of New York City for the first time since her departure after season four. Jill is filling viewers in on where her relationships stand with the ladies, most recently on Heather McDonald’s podcast.

“Ramona and I will always be, unfortunately, connected, because socially, we share a lot of friends. Although, I say to my friends, ‘Why are you friends with her?’ But I’m tired of fighting that battle,” Jill told Heather McDonald. “The truth is it’s like a love-hate relationship with this woman.”

Jill went on to say that “when Ramona wants something from me, I fall for it every time.” So when Jill was planning her annual party in the Hamptons last summer, which includes many celebs on the guest list (including Housewives from all over the country), Ramona asked if she could be invited. Jill said she invited her and her daughter, Avery Singer, to come along. “Would you believe this? She emails me the night before and says, ‘Since you said I could bring my daughter, she can’t come, but I want to bring these other two people whose house I’m staying in, and if I can’t bring them, I’m not coming,'” Jill said. “First of all, I never invited you. You invited yourself. Second of all, I happen to really like the two people you’re staying with, and that was a miss on my part. So yes, you can bring them, but not because you’re subbing them for your daughter. I invited your daughter because I invited your daughter.”

After the party, Jill said that she also received an email from Ramona where she complained that she didn’t receive the correct gift bag. But when the two ran into each other after that, they were all good, according to Jill, even when the RHONY alum found out that she hadn’t been invited to Ramona’s famous birthday luncheon in November. “I do nothing, and the winter goes by,” Jill explained. “Now the show starts. And I’m good with Ramona. I don’t want to start with Ramona. I don’t want to fight with Ramona. We’re all good. We say hello. We kiss hello. It’s all fake and phony, and it’s all good. Then the show starts, and I guess people heard that I’m doing a cameo this season.”

Jill said that she thinks Ramona wasn’t happy about that because she “felt like I stole thunder away from the cast.” Ramona said during an interview on Jenny McCarthy’s SiriusXM radio show earlier this month that she thinks Jill is “desperate to be on the show again.” “And I was like, ‘You f*cking bitch. You did not say that.’ First of all, she happens to know what I’ve been going through this winter with Bobby [Jill’s husband, who continues his battle with cancer]. I mean, you saw Bobby. It’s been a rough winter. Dying to get back on the show? No. Wanting to do a cameo? Yes. I did do it,” Jill said. “So instead of her being nice and saying, ‘Oh, we’re so glad Jill came back to do a scene or something,’ that’s what she says. So now, gloves are off. I’m done being nice, and no, she will not be at my party this summer. She’s not being invited.”

Are you excited for Jill’s return this season?

My name is Nicki. I am 32 years-old and married to my best friend. I was previously in business for over 12 years, but I’ve always had a great passion for web and graphic design. Another one of my passions, of course, is to escape into the world of TV, which is where this journey began. My goal in starting AllThingsRH.com was to give fans, like myself, a place to catch up on all the latest news and gossip about The Real Housewives. I wanted to create a place where viewers could interact with each other, share their opinions, and get straight-forward and unbiased information about what’s going on. I am proud of the diversity this site has to offer.

  • Not that I can stand any housewife who does what Jill did during season 3 of the show, not telling Bethenny Bobby had cancer, then trying to make it look like B knew, that was slithery. What Ramona does every day is despicable. Every event she attends, she bosses around the staff of other hostesses, for starters. It just never ends, her constant out of line comments, telling everyone how to respond to their own challenges in life, going as far as telling them what they should have said, when she hasn’t said the correct thing ever in her adult life. Her mean lies, thinking no one sees past her oh so subtle jabs at others. At least Bethenny says it to the faces of people, and not in some rhyme, or in code. What is with Ramona’s hair???? God, I thought she looked pretty darn good for 60, but the hair ruins it all. It makes her look like she just got out of bed & shorter and dumpier than she really is, which could so easily be fixed with a decent stylist and some decent make-up. Sonja is showing her up this season looking good IMO. I like her new look. Ramona and Luann pretending to be friends just to try to show who can hold the longest grudge against Bethenny all the while saying it’s Bethenny who is holding on!. Bethenny asked at the lunch how the remodel was going, that was about Luann, no one else. Why would she ask about a wedding she isn’t invited to and wasn’t told about? If she had asked questions, she would most certainly be accused of kissing the ass of the one woman who has the ass every man in NY has already seen, and kissed. What a joke. Ramona’s been a joke from day one, now she is simply single and cruel. She thinks everyone believes she has these dates nightly! Anyone who befriends or dates her now is doing it to get a camera from the RHONY franchise centered on them.

Ramona’s been wearing a hair weave ever since she divorced Mario, and now it looks like she’s wearing the leftovers from the company she was fired from as brand ambassador. I wish someone would teach these girls how to properly wear and care for extensions. Jennifer Lopez is never without 50 bundles and 27 inches of extensions on her head and always looks great, sigh.

Nicely said 3D’s as always. Ramona has always, since season one, rubbed me the wrong way. She still makes me squirm. She is friend to no one, least of all Sonja who for the most part, has had her back. And Jill, well that’s another crazy altogether.

Wish Jill made cameo with Bethany–now THAT’S a cameo!

Ramona’s behavior is so vile, why is she considering herself a socialite? People should start un-inviting her to their events and we watch a show called “How Ramona worms her way into parties not initially invited”. (need better sounding show name–lol)

Jill Zarin and Ramona Singer are cut from the same bolt of cloth.

I heard this one. If I remember my Podcast scheduling correctly, Heather should be releasing a new podcast on Tuesday with part 2. It was a good interview, or at least “juicy” as McDonald always like to say.
