Jacqueline & Chris Laurita Sued In $7 Million Dollar Lawsuit For Signature Apparel Bankruptcy!

RumorFix is exclusively reporting that Jacqueline and her in laws are being sued for more than $7 million in bankruptcy court, and they are accused of converting millions of dollars for their own personal use. The lawsuit revolves around Signature Apparel Group, LLC, which was started by Jacqueline’s husband, Chris, and his brother, Joseph. Signature went bankrupt in 2010, but attorneys are alleging the Laurita’s “drained the company of all its funds and assets in order to support their families increasingly opulent lifestyle.”

Now the trustee is suing Jacqueline and her in-laws and RumorFix is reporting Jacqueline was summoned for a deposition on November 13th for the case! The court documents state Jacqueline’s, “wrongful conduct … contributed to and exacerbated Signature’s insolvency.”

RumorFix is also reporting the court papers indicate the Laurita’s spent millions of dollars of the company’s money on their family expenses:

  • $2 million in credit card payments
  • $331,637 on at least 11 leased cars including a Bentley and a Maserati
  • $284,793 on airline travel
  • $145,894 for private jet rentals
  • $73,793 for car services
  • $25,000 for an off-Broadway theater company
  • $16,951 in rental cars

The trustee’s attorney, Michael Fox, tells RumorFix, “It frustrates me that they are so public about their lavish lifestyle and they show indifference.”

UPDATE: Today, November 13th, was the day Jacqueline was scheduled for her deposition. We are assuming it went well judging by some of her tweets earlier today. Did Jacqueline plead the fifth? Pun intended… Check her tweets out below. Chris and his brother Joseph have already started their depositions, but have had a scheduling conflict. Hmm, wonder why? Joseph is rescheduled to appear on November 19th and Chris on December 4th. Joseph’s wife’s deposition will be on November 16th.
