Gretchen Rossi, “RHOC Is All Real, Unfortunately.”

Gretchen Rossi is revealing that nothing is scripted on The Real Housewives of Orange County in a new interview with Wetpaint Entertainment. “I always wanna say, ‘No it’s so fake,’ because I feel like it would make us all look better,” she reveals. “But then I have to say no, it’s all real, unfortunately.”

“A lot of people think the show is scripted, but it’s not scripted,” she said. “It really is our real lives. Of course, you’re seeing an edited version of what’s happening.”

Gretchen wrote in her Bravo Blog that viewers have watched her live some of her darkest moments on TV. “You guys have seen me fall down hard, and go through the darkest time in my life on TV,” she writes. “You were also there to see me pick myself back up and become what I consider a survivor. You guys have seen me laugh (a lot) and cry. My fans have been a huge reason I continue on this journey. The consistent outpouring of notes to my personal site and through my social media sites means so very much to me. Knowing that I have touched even just one life through my own heartaches or life experiences truly makes it all worth it! So thank you to any fan who has ever sent me an email, a special gift, a note in the mail, or sent me a kind and encouraging message on my social media pages. I’m also thankful to any negative responses because as the saying goes “haters are my motivators”!”

“Not going to lie, it was hard for me to watch old clips and see the very, as Andy put it “sinister” ways of the other Housewives towards me,” Gretchen says of the 100th episode special. “It brought back a lot of hurt and pain from one of the worst times in my life. Yet, on the other hand, it was so fun to see some of the most hilarious moments from the show over the years and how it has affected each one of us differently. That’s the thing about this show it will make you cry and it will make you laugh! It’s called a “reality” show for just that reason.”

  1. Yea, it’s all real, just like Slade buying her a Rolls-Royce was real. We all know the “real”story behind the car.

  2. I don’t believe it is scripted, but I do believe that the producers are there egging them on with the information the producers want out there. Some of their conversations are completely awkward. Though, I wish the camera could have shown what the producer was doing when sitting in the limo with the big blow up between Tamra and Simon that was on the 100th episode! Talk about an uncomfortable situation.
