The state of The Real Housewives of New Jersey hangs in the balance as one of the show’s stars Teresa Giudice will surrender to a federal prison on January 5th, 2015 to begin serving her sentence for bank, wire and mail fraud. As for the state of the show? We reached out to our insiders and have an update on the status of the show and what is going on behind-the-scenes.
“Bravo has pushed back production on RHONJ until next year,” our source EXCLUSIVELY tells us. “The network has hired a focus group and producers want to regain viewership and revamp the show back to what it used to be.”
Although Jacqueline Laurita has hinted that she is returning full-time next season, our source says the network is not looking for any new ladies.
“They are not casting any new Housewives at this point,” our source adds.
Our insider also reveals that Teresa Giudice may be “done” with the show “for now” but adds that Giudice “will probably be filming something up until she heads to prison in January.”
One source shares that whether or not Joe Giudice will make the decision to film with his daughters while Teresa is away, Teresa will “likely” film some sort of goodbye or send-off for her fans.
