Exclusive: RHOM Season 3 Cast Changes

RHOM1

Real Housewives of Miami Stars Adriana de Moura, Lisa Hochstein, Joanna Krupa, Alexis Echevarria and Lea Black attended the Bravo Upfronts in New York City and dished on the cast and what drama we can expect in Season 3! The women are currently filming the new Season, and we have EXCLUSIVE info regarding the rumors with the cast!

“I think Karent had some other opportunities and is doing some other shows, and so I think she’s not going to be back, and maybe some people aren’t going to be on it as much because they have busy lives, but we’re all here!” Lea Black dished to Hollywood Life with her cast mates at the Bravo Upfronts.

Joanna and Lisa both said Karent will be missed, because she is one of their best friends. I spoke with my insiders after the RHOM Reunion aired in January of 2013 and they told me, “Bravo did not ask Karent to return to Season 3 of The Real Housewives of Miami.” Karent has recently been giving interviews saying the drama was too much for her and that was part of her decision to leave the show, but it sounds like that is her way of bowing out gracefully. My source confirms Karent was not asked to return to the show. Bravo had made that decision right after the Season 2 Reunion aired, and the cast was aware of the changes at the time.

Not present at the Upfronts were Marysol Patton and Ana Quincoces. Marysol’s role on Season 3 will be limited to a ‘Friend of The Housewives,’ and our insider reveals that was Marysol’s decision, not Bravo’s. “Andy loves Marysol and obviously Elsa is a huge part of the show,” our source shares. “Marysol was unhappy with how her business was portrayed as a part of a storyline between she and Lea Black in Season 2. Marysol works very hard, takes a lot of pride in what she does, and has built her business from nothing. She’s not willing to jeopardize that for a TV show.”

Despite reports that Ana Quincoces was demoted, our insider says that’s just not true. “Bravo made Ana an offer to come back to the show full-time, and she has accepted,” the source said. The women’s contracts are renewed shortly after the Reunion airs, and “Ana struggled with her decision on whether or not she wanted to return full-time, because the backlash from the Reunion weighed heavily on her,” the source close to the situation shares. “Ana was not present at the Upfronts because she had a prior engagement and could not make it to New York in time, she is very much a part of Season 3.”
