EXCLUSIVE Interview With RHOBH Joyce Giraud

Joyce

With the premiere of season 4 of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills so close, I was very excited to have the opportunity to interview new Housewife, Joyce Giraud. Joyce is not only gorgeous, but smart, ambitious and absolutely lovely. She shares her goals in joining The Real Housewives, which of the ladies she connected with the most and she even explains that some of the ladies were different in person than what we see on TV.

Hi Joyce! Thank you for agreeing to do this interview with us, are you ready for the premiere of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills?
Joyce Giraud: “Thank you for the interview :-) Yes, I’m a bit anxious and honestly I can’t wait!”

Were you hesitant to join a reality TV show?
JG: “At first I was very hesitant because I am an actress and it’s what I love to do, but this show is such an amazing platform and we see it with all the ladies on the show. It’s great for them to promote whatever it is they want to promote. Some promote books, restaurants, stores. I want to promote my Queen of the Universe pageant which is an international charity based pageant that supports UNESCO.(www.queenuniversepageant.com) My dream is to continue my mother-in-law’s legacy and build kindergartens around the world for children who don’t have access to education because education should be a natural born right.”

How would you sum up your experience filming your first season of the show?
JG: “There were ups and downs, but overall it was a great experience.”

Which of your cast mates would you say you connected with the most?
JG: “I came in with an open heart and at the beginning liked everyone, but then the true colors of some of them started coming out and I connected more with Kyle.”

Did you know any of the other women prior to coming on the show?
JG: “In Beverly Hills the whole six degrees of separation is more like a one degree. I had met most of them by passing or we had mutual acquaintances.”

7. How did being a part of pageants change your life?
JG: “Pageants are an amazing opportunity to have a voice. You can either use that voice and support your charities and do great things as a role model or you can be the typical beauty queen that is simply pretty and does nothing. That’s why I created my Queen of the Universe, so that other girls like me would also have a voice, represent their countries and women throughout the world. For me being able to represent my lindo Puerto Rico is one of the proudest moments that I will cherish for the rest of my life.”

What can we expect from season 4 of RHOBH?
JG: “For me season 4 was a bit shocking. I had watched the show before so it was very shocking to see how some of the girls really were compared to what I had seen on TV.”

Who is your favorite Housewife from another city?
JG: “I really like Nene :) I’ve never had the chance to meet her but I think she’s beautiful, funny, witty and doesn’t let anyone mess with her.”

Can you tell us about your husband and children?
JG: “I’m blessed to have a great husband who is the most supportive in the world and my babies are our life! They make everyday amazing.”

What’s one thing viewers would be surprised to learn about you?
JG: “I think that viewers might think that just because I was a beauty queen I will be the typical pretty wallflower but I’m not. I’m very nice and I like to give people the benefit of the doubt but if they mess with me they will find me. I’m also not your typical Beauty queen.. I have 2 bachelors degrees. One in social work and one in special education, I’m an actress, a producer and above all a mommy.”

What is one thing you would like viewers to take away from your appearance on the show?
JG: “Im ok with whatever they take as long as they support UNESCO ;-)”
