In the preview for the new season of The Real Housewives of Atlanta we see Cynthia Bailey and her husband Peter Thomas struggling with their finances again. In a new interview with RadarOnline, Cynthia is opening up about her struggles with her husband’s business Bar One. “When Peter told me about the issues we were having at Bar One, I immediately felt deja vu: ‘Here we go. We’re back to Uptown,’” Cynthia told Radar.
“Financial issues are just huge in a new marriage. We were struggling even to get married and then once I finally feel like I’m seeing the light at the end of the tunnel, I got hit with the bomb,” Cynthia admits. “That was devastating because I’m not comfortable when things are going crazy. I like to have a plan and I like the plan to work. I don’t want to do all those steps and then it just backfires and we’re back to square one.”
Cynthia reveals Bar One is still experiencing financial problems. “It’s still something we’re dealing with. “It’s not rectified even right now. We’re taking steps to try to buy the property,” she continued. “We were comfortable renting it and it’s a whole other set of things that come with buying, so that’s where we are and I’m just hoping it works out.”
“All I do is work,” Cynthia reveals. “That’s one of the other issues Peter and I are having in our own personal life is now I’m so paranoid and scared of being broke again that we even struggle for a date night. Peter’s very frustrated with the fact that I’m just a working lunatic now. And now he feels like we never do anything together.”
“He feels everything’s going to be okay,” Cynthia said, adding, “My thing is, well I’m not so sure because three years ago, that wasn’t the case. So it’s not that I don’t believe him, but I feel like I need to take steps no matter what to make sure that we are good.”
