Cynthia Bailey Opens Up About Financial Struggles With Peter Thomas And Bar One

Cynthia

In the preview for the new season of The Real Housewives of Atlanta we see Cynthia Bailey and her husband Peter Thomas struggling with their finances again. In a new interview with RadarOnline, Cynthia is opening up about her struggles with her husband’s  business Bar One. “When Peter told me about the issues we were having at Bar One, I immediately felt deja vu: ‘Here we go. We’re back to Uptown,’” Cynthia told Radar.

“Financial issues are just huge in a new marriage. We were struggling even to get married and then once I finally feel like I’m seeing the light at the end of the tunnel, I got hit with the bomb,” Cynthia admits. “That was devastating because I’m not comfortable when things are going crazy. I like to have a plan and I like the plan to work. I don’t want to do all those steps and then it just backfires and we’re back to square one.”

Cynthia reveals Bar One is still experiencing financial problems. “It’s still something we’re dealing with. “It’s not rectified even right now. We’re taking steps to try to buy the property,” she continued. “We were comfortable renting it and it’s a whole other set of things that come with buying, so that’s where we are and I’m just hoping it works out.”

“All I do is work,” Cynthia reveals. “That’s one of the other issues Peter and I are having in our own personal life is now I’m so paranoid and scared of being broke again that we even struggle for a date night. Peter’s very frustrated with the fact that I’m just a working lunatic now. And now he feels like we never do anything together.”

“He feels everything’s going to be okay,” Cynthia said, adding, “My thing is, well I’m not so sure because three years ago, that wasn’t the case. So it’s not that I don’t believe him, but I feel like I need to take steps no matter what to make sure that we are good.”

My name is Nicki. I am 32 years-old and married to my best friend. I was previously in business for over 12 years, but I’ve always had a great passion for web and graphic design. Another one of my passions, of course, is to escape into the world of TV, which is where this journey began. My goal in starting AllThingsRH.com was to give fans, like myself, a place to catch up on all the latest news and gossip about The Real Housewives. I wanted to create a place where viewers could interact with each other, share their opinions, and get straight-forward and unbiased information about what’s going on. I am proud of the diversity this site has to offer.

Well, I think many viewers felt this was inevitable. I just hate it for Cynthia. She is so pretty and I believe she does work really, really hard. They just seem so mismatched to me, but I guess she really loves him. Maybe her mom and sis were right to be so worried. What a shame. I wish she was smart enough to keep her income/money seperate from his. Lots of married people do. And I pray she is squirreling away some $$ for herself somewhere safe from him.

The fact that Peter BOUGHT the warehouse across the street without telling her & using half of HER money is shocking! She needs to cut her losses at this point; or at the very least have a separate bank account that he can’t get his grubby hands on. He is NOT a businessman. Wonder if Cynthia pays support for any of his 5 kids?

Peter needs to get off his lazy ass and get a REAL JOB since he has now proven for the second time that he is NOT a good businessman. But I guess he JOB is liviing off his wife.

Agreed, notatrehugger! He is very successful in his position as “moocher.” I feel so bad for Cynthia. She is working her butt off to counteract the carelessness her husband shows with their money. With Peter by her side, sadly I feel that she will never experience the level of comfort that she strives for where finances are concerned.
