Cynthia Bailey: I Do Not Have Low Self-Esteem

Cynthia Bailey is opening up about why she broke down during the talk with her daughter Noelle this week on RHOA in a new interview with Bravo. Bailey reveals what has been the hardest part of her divorce and insists she doesn’t have low self-esteem. What’s been the hardest part of the divorce?
Cynthia Bailey:
A divorce is a very difficult thing to go through. It is spiritually and emotionally draining. The hardest part of this process for me has been trying to maintain a friendship and mutual respect for each other. We were friends before we were husband and wife. I just don’t want to lose that. Why did you break down during your talk with Noelle?
I do not have low self-esteem. I was really caught off guard when my daughter Noelle asked me if I did. I always try to teach her by example and be a good role model. It hurt me to hear her even have to question whether or not I had low self-esteem! My whole life I have always tried to represent confidence, strength, and fearlessness. Especially where my daughter is concerned! I raised her to be an independent thinker and never to settle for less than what she wants and what feels she deserves. I broke down because I felt like I had failed her. And myself. Were you surprised by all the shade between Kenya and Sheree?
No, I was not really surprised about the shade between Kenya and Sheree. They always throw a little shade at each other. The one thing that Moore Manor and Chateau Sheree have in common is lots of trees. The shade is real! LOL!

  1. I don’t watch now but I always thought she did have low self esteem. Thinking back to some of the things she has done, like the friendship contract!

  2. I think Peter was more interested in his real housewives debut than the marriage. He’s still filming with Todd and Kandi. Cynthia is doing the right thing that video last year must have been the turning point. Over the years we have watched Peter talk disgusting about her sister, have opinions about her friends and take her money. Now it’s like Peter needs to hold on his to his housewives career

  3. I don’t know how much Cynthia knew her own father. I wonder if there is something to her father-daughter relationship that makes her pick the men she does seem attracted to for the most part. I think she likes the bad boys. Maybe she wants a daddy image or someone to be controlling with her, without doing it consciously at all.
I am sure she had men fall at her feet and still does, but she does not want the ones who go after her and treat her like gold and smother her with love, but the ones who keep her guessing and are more of a challenge, in my opinion. She wants a man who does not kiss her feet but makes her work for his attention too. That is what I have seen, anyway. A man like Peter wants the attention given to him more than he wants to give it. He may seek it elsewhere too…and takes her for granted. He does know how to woo a woman though. He just wants her to give up everything for him, even family.
Her daughter sees that as low self esteem. Why stay with someone who argues with you and appears not to respect you enough. I see that too, but not because she realizes it, but because Cynthia wants Peter’s attention and respect consciously, yet she chose a man who never put her needs and desires before his own, even if he said the words. He may say the words, but actions speak louder than words, and he is a smooth talker only.

  4. More like she suffers from low intellect. What other explanation could there be for her marrying shady Peter? She could have done a lot better IMO.
