The Real Housewives of New Jersey premiered in 2009, and while it was highly anticipated, no one knew exactly what it would become. Personally, I remember being very excited about the premiere and thinking Bravo was on to something by bringing the Franchise to New Jersey. Caroline Manzo is reminiscing about the beginning, and explaining all the women took a leap of faith by joining the show. Caroline dishes in a Q & A for her book, ‘Let Me Tell You Something.’
“I believe through this show there will be a bond with the rest of the ladies forever,” Caroline says, “Even those that aren’t on the show anymore and those who I maybe didn’t have a good relationship with.”
RHONJ is undoubtedly one of the most popular in the Franchise, and Caroline talks about how the show has grown into the “monster” that it is. “There were five women who just took a leap of faith, and a monster war born. Who knew that this show would become the monster it has become? None of us knew! I don’t think Bravo knew.”
“Whether I speak to [Kathy, Melissa, or Teresa] in the next 10 years, there will always be that bond of ‘Remember when?’ that can never be erased,” Caroline said.
