Caroline Manzo Says Goodbye To RHONJ, Says She Would Be A Hypocrite To Return

Caroline Manzo is taking to her Bravo Blog to say goodbye to The Real Housewives of New Jersey. She explains her decision to not return to another season of the show and says it would make her a hypocrite if she did. Caroline says while she’s leaving the Housewives, her relationship with Bravo doesn’t end.

Caroline writes, “I think I’m going to make this short and sweet, because to put all my thoughts into a single blog would take forever and quite possibly turn the blog into a novel, so here goes: I have made the decision to leave The Real Housewives of New Jersey.

Over the past couple of years Bravo and I have had numerous conversations regarding my position on Housewives, and they accept and understand where I’m coming from.

When we started filming Housewives so long ago, Al made me promise him one thing. He said, “Just be yourself and have fun with it.” I’ve always prided myself on giving you the truth of who I really am, the good, the bad, and the ugly. Over the past few years my outlook on the show has changed from something I couldn’t wait to show my future grandchildren to something I hope my future grandchildren never see. I’ve always prided myself on being a good example for my children and my decision to leave is based on advice I’ve always given them: “Be true to yourself and be proud of who you are, you are born with a name and you die with a name, don’t dirty it up.” Going back to film another season of Housewives would only make me a hypocrite. For me, peace and integrity cannot be bought with money or fame. I practice what I preach, and as I said on the reunion, I’m done.I simply feel that my role has run its course and I have nothing more to give.

I may be leaving Housewives, but my relationship with Bravo will continue as we started production on a pilot, Manzo’d with Children, which if goes to series promises to give the viewers a very different look into the world of the Manzo Family. We are having an absolute blast filming it, and I hope you all join us as we start our new chapter within the Bravo newtork. We didn’t close the book, we just turned the page.”

  1. will never forget your red faced scream fest against teresa.every year we had that to look foward to, so since i don’t need that tension in my house, i won’t be watching your so called happy life.after going after gia,the way you and the wack did, i don’t think you should be thinking of grand children.unless yours will be perfect in your eyes. but remember one thing, children are taught cheating is wrong, so you should be ashamed of the way you treated her.

    1. guess you missed that show. there was a game between carolines children, poison joe, melissa the whole crowd. tug of war. they let gia in.she pulled so hard.worked her little heart out.well, the adults thought, they were cute, started cheating. gia was crying all upset, both caroline and wacko got on her, she just wanted her mother. kids don’t understand why they can’t cheat, but adults the way,i’m not ranting,i;m commenting

  2. I haven’t read anything about it but good for Caroline if she finally said what MANY people have been thinking for years! Gia is a spoiled smart mouthed brat!! While I blame that on her parents if she isn’t gotten under control she will grow up to be as bad as her mother.

  3. I was never the biggest Caroline Manzo fan ( I personally like a little drama and she just didn’t bring it), but what I did admire was the closeness of the Manzo clan. They are truly “thick as thieves” with an unbreakable bond. I shutter to think what a couple more seasons of this show could have done to this family–we’ve seen over and over how reality TV has ruined marriages and families. She’s getting out just in time with her family still intact and though she’s moving on to another reality show, its focus is on the most important thing in the Manzo world–family. Not about how the Manzos are dragged into other people’s drama. Good for you, Caroline. You have a beautiful, loving family that has survived the nonsense which is RHONJ. Have fun hanging out with your hubby and kids on your new show. Gorgas and Giudices, you would be wise to follow suit and leave this show. Your family will never mend as long as you are a part of this franchise.
