Bravo Producer Talks RHONY Season 9 Mexico Cast Trip

Over the years we have seen some pretty crazy cast trips throughout all of The Real Housewives shows, but according to Executive Producer Ryan Flynn, this year’s RHONY trip to Mexico might be the worst.

“We’re just getting the cuts now for those episodes so I have not seen it yet, but if it plays anything like it reads, it’s going to be like one of the most epic sh*t shows in RHONY history,” Flynn shared on The Daily Dish podcast. Ryan then talked about what he thinks makes New York vacations so magical. “For whatever reason on The Real Housewives of New York City, it just works for those women to be in a house together. Like, put them in a house in a destination, add a little water — well, really add a little vodka, tequila, and then stand back because it’s always interesting. It’s always explosive. It’s always fun.”

Ryan does think each city of Housewives is much different than the others. “I think for each franchise it’s a little different,” he continued. “Whereas [The Real Housewives ofBeverly Hills, maybe we would put them in a house together but I think they really prefer having their own suites and their own space and sort of doing it up their own way.” Ryan also talked about the strategic process that goes into planning each vacay. “We also have to not repeat ourselves across all the franchises. So if Atlanta is going to Hawaii we’re not going to go to Hawaii that same year on Beverly Hills. We need to find variety and the world hopefully is big enough that we don’t ever find ourselves being too repetitive.”

wonder what happened in Mexico? Someone broke a finger nail?

Oooh, I like that blue & white tile in the background….other than that, after last season’s Miami clustermuck courtesy of Bethenny and that off duty production crew in New York, how explosive can it get? That was the lowest RHoNY has ever sunk for me, I’d much rather see them have REAL fun.
