Brandi Glanville Opens Up About Struggles With Depression

Brandi Glanville has revealed that we will see a darker side of her on this season of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, but the Bravo star continued to dish on her struggles with depression in a new essay on SoberBook. She admits her battle with depression stemmed from her ex-husband’s affair with LeAnn Rimes. “Four and a half years after my betrayal, I still battle with depression and trust issues,” she writes. “I survived my heartbreak, but I will be dealing with the damage it caused for the rest of my life. I have good months and bad months. If I didn’t have my children. I might be one of the many who never came out of the darkness.”

Brandi continues to explain that her children make her happy, but when they are spending time with their dad she sometimes falls “back into darkness.”

“Here comes the other fifty percent of my personality: fun, single, party girl Brandi. I don’t always love her. Sometimes I barely even like her,” she continues. “She makes a ton of mistakes (just check the internet). But, I have never claimed to be perfect and it’s my way of not sitting at home, alone, falling back into my dark place.”

Brandi’s advice for other’s that struggle? “Take it one day at a time,” she writes. “Don’t be so hard on yourself when you mess up because we all make mistakes. Learn to ask for help when you need it and know that the people that sit back and judge us, pretending to be perfect, are usually the most messed up of all.”

My name is Nicki. I am 32 years-old and married to my best friend. I was previously in business for over 12 years, but I’ve always had a great passion for web and graphic design. Another one of my passions, of course, is to escape into the world of TV, which is where this journey began. My goal in starting AllThingsRH.com was to give fans, like myself, a place to catch up on all the latest news and gossip about The Real Housewives. I wanted to create a place where viewers could interact with each other, share their opinions, and get straight-forward and unbiased information about what’s going on. I am proud of the diversity this site has to offer.
