The finale of the Real Housewives of Potomac was last Sunday and many viewers are wondering if Ashley Darby and her husband Michael will be planning for a baby.
“I have not changed my birth control method,” she told The Daily Dish, referring to her and Michael’s use of the pull out method, as discussed during this season of the show.
During Sunday night’s episode, Michael said he wanted to wait until the couple broke even on their new restaurant Oz, which opened last October, to try and have a baby. But, Ashley was much more eager to work on baby “Mickshley,” saying that her “ovaries are exploding.”
“I have waited because we haven’t even broke even on the restaurant yet. Don’t get me wrong, I knew the restaurant was going to be a huge undertaking, but there are so many things that I never foresaw with the restaurant, and it’s literally like a child in its own. It is so intense. Like, I’m losing sleep every night just like I would with a newborn baby,” she said. “So I can’t imagine having the restaurant and a baby at the same time. That just wouldn’t work out. So I think that once we’ve been open for about a year, we’ll actually have the baby.”
Timing is everything for Ashley, who still plans on trying to have a Gemini or a Leo baby, as she said earlier this season on RHOP. “Yes, girl. I don’t care what anyone says. You don’t have control over your kids, right? You never know what you’re gonna get. The genetic lottery is very random. But if you can do something that may influence [it], even if you think it’s hoopla, just a slight chance, I think that you should do it,” Ashley said. “People play the lottery, and they guess numbers all the time. Hello? I’m doing something that is more, in my opinion, more scientifically sound.”
