Apollo Nida Speaks Out From Prison

RHOA star Apollo Nida has been in prison for two months and is speaking out about his life behind bars, how he betrayed his family and what the future holds for his marriage.

“I’m not the best husband… I know I let a lot of people down,” he tells In Touch. “But I can say that Phaedra is the best wife and mom and that my children are in good hands with her.”

“I’m hopeful that we can stick things out,” Apollo says. Phaedra, however, may have a different idea: her rep tells the magazine that “the divorce is proceeding as planned.”

Nida explains that he is focused on rehabilitating himself at the Federal Medical Center in Lexington, Kentucky, where he is serving his 8-year sentence.

“There are all walks of life here,” he says. “I keep to myself.” But he hopes the time will do him some good. “When I get out, it’s pedal to the metal. I want to be a motivational speaker and stay on the right side of the law.”

Apollo also shares that he has hopes of repairing his relationship with his sons Ayden and Dylan.

“There’s a plan to get them up here [to visit me],” he says. “At this point, I don’t care about anything else except getting my life back on track. I know for a fact that when I get home, I will pick up the pieces.”

  1. In just two short months Mr Defiant has changed his tune. Before he went in he was throwing Phaedra, the mother of his sons under the bus and trash talking her on national television. Now he wants her to wait right long years for him. Yeah…right.

    1. He was a piece of work at the reunion, acting all tough and arrogant. If I were Phaedra and Kendra, I would tell Mr. tough guy to kiss my 37 acre as$!

  2. Kudos for the calming nature and kind words. You did so much damage Apollo when all you had to do was be quiet. Somethings are not meant for television especially when it comes to unrest in your home. Phaedra would/could have stayed by your side but every one of your words stung her to her core. Silence, my friend. Good luck to you and more to your family.
