Amber Marchese Has Another Breast Cancer Scare

Real Housewives of New Jersey star Amber Marchese, who is already a breast cancer survivor, took to her Facebook page to reveal she is having surgery to remove a lump she found in her breast that could be cancerous. Marchese said she discovered the lump during a movie night with her husband Jim on April 3rd.

“I lifted my arms over my head, touched the side of my breast (I am not sure what made me do that) and there it was,” she wrote. “A small pea-sized, somewhat bean-shaped, lump.”

Amber says the “last few weeks have been hell,” living “in complete anxiety, fear, and stress” and that “the only thing on [her] mind [has been] that lump and [her] uncertain future.”

Marchese underwent surgery on Monday to have the lump removed and biopsied.

“My faith in God and my physical presence in Church gave me a sense of peacefulness,” she wrote. “It is all going to be fine, regardless what the outcome. I am physically strong and through my spiritual faith, I am mentally strong.”

Marchese added, “I have turned to God and put my trust into Him instead of shunning Him away.”

“I am in the best physical condition of my life, lifting weights and I sometimes feel like supermom, but today I stand before you all, frightened,” she wrote. “I am not ashamed or afraid to admit it, but what I can say to you all is I have peace.”

Update: Amber was happy to let her fans know that her surgery went well. “I’m out of surgery, and honestly I feel fantastic,” she revealed. “My throat is hurting a little bit from the breathing tube that they put down, but other than that it was perfect. I find out my results probably Friday, no later than Monday, so it’s going to be a heck of a week.”

  1. My prayers are also with Amber and her family. This is a terrible thing to have over your head. I know. But she is wise to put her faith in God and to get good medical care. Praying she gets a good report.
