Amber Marchese appeared on Watch What Happens Live Sunday night after an all new episode of The Real Housewives of New Jersey. Amber dished on the fight between her and Nicole, her husband Jim, Melissa Gorga and more.
In response to Dina Manzo comparing her husband’s douchebagery to a whale’s vagina, Amber said, “That’s rough. Well I don’t think she knows my husband well enough to even say that. She never gave him the chance or the time of day to get to know him and when you know him you love him.”
Guest star David Arquette said from a viewer’s standpoint the way Jim spoke to the women was wrong.
“You have to understand, I just was attacked downstairs,” Amber said. “And we come upstairs and they are all trying to come at him. It’s like whoa.”
Andy played a clip of everything Amber’s co-stars have said about her on the show and gave her a chance to respond to each of her cast mates with one word and a hair flip:
Melissa Gorga, “Backstabber.”
Teresa Giudice, “Powerful, strong woman.”
Nicole Naplitano, “Shakespearian tragedy.”
Dina Manzo, “Kinda zen, but I’m kinda not liking her right now.”
Teresa Aprea, “Miserable.”
Next, Andy showed a clip of Amber’s husband Jim threatening to sue his cast mates.
“If I want to hurt you, I’m going to sue you,” Jim said in his interview. “I’m going to leverage your house, I’m going to give you three years of hell in a courtroom, I’m going to bleed you dry financially, and I’m going to humiliate you as I depose you for eight hours and make you my bitch.”
In response to Jim’s legal threats, Amber said, “It’s hard. I think it was just a very heated moment. He had just watched me get attacked and everyone was coming at him at the same time. He was watching Bobby sit on the side and not do a damn thing. And he also knew he was in that position because of Bobby. Because Bobby was twisting his words around and exaggerating what my husband said and the reasons why he didn’t go to bowling night. It was a little over the top. We just wanted to get the hell out of there.”
A caller asked Amber if it was such a legal conflict for her husband to be around the Giudices, why did she join the show.
“Because this was my dream and my husband was just supporting me,” Amber said. “I think he wanted to support me and make me happy, he’s that good of a husband. I think originally he thought he could truly separate doing scenes with the family versus being amongst the guys. That didn’t work out so well.”
Another caller asked Amber what she would have done if Nicole told Melissa she was a home wrecker and the roles were reversed.
“I would just want to have a discussion,” Amber said. “That’s the bottom line. We could talk about things and give each other the chance and opportunity to see where the source was. Where did you hear it from?”
Another viewer asked Amber why she can’t own up to what she said to Melissa even though it is on-camera.
“I did say it,” Amber admits. “If Nicole would have approached me in a more diplomatic manner I would have apologized up and down and said, ‘I’m sorry.’ But that’s not how she handled it.”
Last, a caller asked Amber how she thinks her and Jim and have been received by viewers and tells her to be honest with her answer.
“I think personally I’m 50/50,” Amber says. “And I really had a healthy understanding that that’s a good possibility that it would be. I don’t think Jim is being received very well at all. I know he’s polarizing. I get that because he firm in what he believes and is very passionate and that’s what you guys are seeing.”
After 81% of viewers sided with Melissa Gorga, Amber admitted she was surprised by the results.
“I was attacked. That’s never a good thing. No matter what the circumstances are it’s never okay to put your hands on somebody else. Ever,” Amber says.
