Amber Marchese Announces She Will Not Return to RHONJ

After joining season six of the Real Housewives of New Jersey, a lot of Twitter arguments, and hair-pulling drama with cast members, Amber Marchese announced to People yesterday that she and husband Jim will not be returning to the show for it’s upcoming seventh season.

“Jim and I have been giving Real Housewives of New Jersey a lot of thought and given the current state of affairs regarding our personal lives and the direction of the show, we officially decided to move on.”

The couple has been in the media lately due to Amber’s breast cancer battle along with comments they made about RHONJ veteran Teresa Giudice’s three part spin-off Teresa Checks In. The couple claimed that it was an exploitation of children and that the network used that just to make money.

Andy Cohen has since responded to Amber’s decision not to return but only sharing well wishes her way.

With no surprise, Jim Marchese also responded on Twitter in terms of the couple’s reason for not returning. He tweeted, “We were asked. The show is boring so we were asked to bring energy.”

  1. No she didn’t resign they weren’t asked back so trying to save face. Unfortunately when you make the comments he did about your boss you are finished. Sorry Amber I pity you for your husband!

  2. Snort! Yeah, sure. What is so engaging about a guy with a Napoleon Complex and a wife who coddles him like a spoiled child – just encouraging his bad behavior? Good riddance!
