Alexis Bellino is taking to her Bravo Blog to discuss the most recent episode of The Real Housewives of Orange County. Alexis states that she thinks Vicki should make the decision whether or not she’s with Brooks and she wishes Briana would be more supportive of her mother. Alexis reveals she and Heather are in a better place now, but wearing a fake wedding ring doesn’t make her phony. Alexis says she only travels with a CZ ring to make sure she doesn’t lose her real one.
Alexis writes, “My opinion on Vicki and Brooks stays firm in what I have said the past year, and that is that Vicki needs to make the decision on her own. When I asked Briana how she felt about it, I was hoping to get a different answer than I did. I thought maybe having baby Troy would help Briana look at things differently. I knew Briana was completely against her mom dating Brooks, however, it’s not really Briana’s choice. I am not being insensitive to Briana, however, as I have already said in several of my blogs. Vicki is a 51 year old woman, who can make up her own mind. Whether Brooks is good or bad for Vicki, she will discover it on her own. It’s like a mom telling her child not to touch the oven…some children must touch the oven and learn the hard way.
I feel bad that Vicki and Briana are experiencing this stress in their relationship. It must be difficult when your daughter is giving you an ultimatum, and who knows — I may react the exact same way as Vicki if one of my daughters did.
It’s always difficult to blog on scenes that took place months ago because often times the relationships are different when the scene actually airs. The next scene is the perfect example of this because Heather and I are currently in a better place and I don’t want to confuse now for then. However, there are things I must comment from this episode.
Heather making the remark about my cubic zirconia is uncalled for. The fact is (and I explained this to all the women) that I only wore a cubic zirconia to Costa Rica because it was unsafe to wear my real diamond wedding ring. However, thanks to the women making fun of me, I have since given my extremely nice cubic zirconia away. I wear an eternity band now when I travel without Jim. It’s sad and irritating that I let their comments affect me, but the truth is that it did. Calling me phony for wearing it is actually incorrect. It’s the exact opposite of phony. If I had NOT admitted that I wore a cubic zirconia, then THAT would have been phony. I was authentic and honest about the CZ, and I didn’t hesitate to tell them. I honestly never thought it would have offended the ladies so much. I have many wealthy friends that travel with cubic zirconias, and hopefully they haven’t allowed this judging to change their ways like I did. By the way. . .why was my wedding ring even a topic of conversation the first time Heather met Lydia?
Ending on a positive note, I’m so glad you all get to know Lydia this episode! She is a happy yet STERN girl and I think you all will really like her. I love that she is always smiling, yet if you cross her, she will bite your head off! The dinner and boat ride with her and Doug looked amazing. They are a cute couple. The duck call really summed up her personality!”
